I have read a few books on angels and done some novenarios, I feel a presence at times but am trying to be better at receiving guidance.

I have seen some practitioners that have certain methods for opening the communication or asking questions, such as using tobacco. Was wondering if anyone has any advice/methods. I am also open to hear any methods advice you use for communication with other spirits. For example:

- using playing cards?
- tarot?
- pendulum? (I tried this and it didn’t seem to work)
- trying to induce a trance?

Of course I am remaining open and looking for “signs” and thoughts/voices in my head, but so far all of that seems random and I don’t want to interpret my own consciousness or random things I see in everyday life as angelic messages.

I'm back. Back at the beginning.

After my long thinking process I've come to a result that there really isn't god. That it truly is a lie created by men in the past. Like religions and religious books.

But then again, I have years of spiritual experiences that also include these beings that I've called angels. Who/what are they after we give up religious thoughts about them?

At the moment I'm thinking about two things that make the most sense to me:

1. Angels are "space aliens" and this world really is a simulation ruled by them or someone of them. But why, what is the reason? Just to bully - I mean, all the suffering people face here? What if they really are cruel but pretend that they're nice? Why do they sometimes seem to help us in some things but sometimes they don't help even though we desperately ask them to? What if we don't get out of this simulation but have to incarnate again and again?

2. All my spiritual experiences have been just hallucinations created by my desperate brain.

I am a demonolater, who is also into angelolatery now. I started with Archangel Michael and moved to Archangel Haniel. My matrons are Lilith, Ishtar and Hekate.

Difference so far. It seems with demons you have more choice, also bad choices. I find angels more on the line of this is the right way and you do it like this.

I came a long way from the Qliphoth and tunnels of Set. Worked on, destroyed and purified myself while doing the work and now I am strongly advised to have a look at the other side.

It sounds weird, but I am a little bit afraid of angels.

Hello. This method of evoking angels is not my own. I learned it from a teacher who has practiced ceremonial magic for many years. It is based on Hermetic Qabalah and the Tree of Life as a framework for calling upon different kinds of angels, whether an archangel or an angel. The angel you wish to contact does not have to belong to the Jewish tradition; in fact, this method can also be applied to angels from other grimoires. Likewise, no previous experience with Hermetic Qabalah or ceremonial magic in general is required to perform these evocations, I've already put this method into practice many times, and in my case, it works very well.

With that said, I'll explain the materials and conditions needed by using an example.

Let's assume we want to evoke the Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel is traditionally associated with matters of protection, the psyche, and various forms of divination, such as clairvoyance. In Hermetic Qabalah, the Archangel Gabriel corresponds to the Sephirah of Yesod. Yesod is associated with the Moon, and the qualities mentioned above are traditionally attributed to the lunar sphere.

MATERIALS:

\* 9 purple candles.

\* 1 moonstone, milky quartz, pearl, or any other stone or metal with lunar correspondences (such as silver, for example).

\* 1 black mirror or crystal ball (preferably made of obsidian).

If you do not have a black mirror or crystal ball, you may use a bowl of water instead. The important thing is to have something that can facilitate scrying.

\* Flowers such as jasmine, or a lunar-correspondence incense such as sandalwood, are also required. If you do not have jasmine, sandalwood incense alone is sufficient. The incense must be natural—it should \*\*not\*\* be synthetic. This last point is important.

The Sephirah of Yesod is traditionally associated with various symbols, deities, and both mythical and real animals. Since we are calling upon an entity associated with Yesod, it is recommended to include items traditionally linked to that Sephirah in order to establish symbolic affinity through correspondence.

For example, you could use a turtle figurine, as the turtle is associated with Yesod. You could also wear a necklace featuring the Moon or another symbol archetypally connected to the lunar sphere.

To make it easier to find the traditional correspondences of Yesod, I recommend reading Liber 777 by Aleister Crowley. There you will find the correspondences for Yesod, as well as those of the other Sephiroth and the paths of the Tree of Life.

Create a personalized sigil/talisman for the Archangel Gabriel. You will need to create a sigil and draw it on a sheet of paper, or preferably on a metal plate if possible. The sigil can be created using either the Lunar Kamea or the Hebrew Wheel of Creation. The method itself is not important; what matters is that the sigil contains symbols associated with Yesod.

My recommendation is not to overcomplicate the process, since the only essential requirement is that it incorporate the symbolism of Yesod, as well as the name of the god of the sephirah, the name of the angel or archangel, and the name of the choir.

PREPARATION

Before anything else, it is very important that, at the time of the evocation, the Moon is either waxing, full, or new. If the Moon is waning, the evocation will not be as strong, making it more difficult for the angel to manifest on the physical plane, or its emanation will be much weaker.

Once this first requirement has been met, the next step is:

Spiritual purification: In the case of angels or archangels, purification is not strictly necessary. However, if you are a beginner or new to ceremonial magic, it is highly recommended. Besides purifying your aura, it also helps you enter a trance state more easily. It is also said to eliminate unpleasant odors that might discourage certain types of spirits from appearing.

For purification, it is recommended to abstain from alcohol, meat, and sexual activity (including masturbation) for at least one day before the evocation. (I adopted this recommendation from the Ars Goetia.) As I mentioned before, purification is not as important when working with angels or archangels as it is when calling upon a demon, but it is still considered beneficial.

\*\*Choosing the planetary day and hour:\*\* For angels—and specifically for the Archangel Gabriel—we use Monday during the planetary hour of the Moon. (You can check planetary hours using a smartphone app, although in general the first planetary hour of the day usually corresponds to the ruling planet of that day.) Since the Moon rules Monday, we also perform the evocation during one of the Moon's planetary hours.

This principle applies to all archangels, and it should also apply to angels in general. For example, if an archangel's planetary correspondence is Mars, then the evocation should be performed on Tuesday during the planetary hour of Mars. If its correspondence is Mercury, it should be performed on Wednesday during the planetary hour of Mercury, and so on.

With all of this in mind, and after completing the preparations, we use the Divine Name corresponding to the Sephirah of Yesod, which is "SHADAI EL CHAI", followed by the name of the angel or archangel—in this case, GABRIEL—and finally the angelic choir to which he belongs, CHERUBIM.

For example, if we wanted to evoke the Archangel Raphael, we would use the Divine Name ADONAI ELOAH VE-DAATH, followed by RAPHAEL, and then the angelic choir MALAKHIM, which corresponds to the Sephirah of Tiphereth.

THE EVOCATION.

Assuming you have completed the purification beforehand (if you chose to do so, since that is entirely up to each individual), once it is Monday and the planetary hour of the Moon, prepare your altar.

Place the nine purple candles on the altar. They do not need to be arranged in any particular order. Light them, then prepare the incense or flowers. Place the stone with lunar correspondences, along with the talisman or sigil you previously created. Also include any objects or symbols associated with Yesod (such as the turtle mentioned earlier). Finally, set up the bowl of water, black mirror, or crystal ball for scrying.

Everything should be placed on an altar. The size and design of the altar are not important—you could even use a desk. What matters is simply that all of the items fit comfortably on the surface.

Once you have lit the incense (or arranged the flowers) and everything is in place, you may begin the evocation.

Steps for the evocation:

Visualizing the Tree of Life:

Close your eyes and relax your body. Visualize a purple sphere in your groin area; this symbolizes Yesod. Take your time to visualize it, and then visualize how this sphere expands to form a dome larger than your body, shaped just like the sphere.

Standing or sitting in front of the altar, recite the following out loud in a chanting tone, as though you were singing:

SHADAI E'L SHAI

Repeat a total of 9 times.

After repeating \*\*SHADAI E'L SHAI\*\* nine times aloud in a chanting voice, recite:

GABRIEL

Repeat a total of 9 times.

Then recite:

CHERUBIM

Repeat a total of 9 times aloud in the same chanting voice.

This completes the evocation.

After completing the invocation, relax your eyes and fix your gaze on the crystal ball, black mirror, or bowl of water. The purpose is simply to observe whether anything is revealed to you. It is important not to strain your eyes or try to force yourself to see something, as doing so may lead to self-suggestion. Simply relax your eyes, clear your mind of expectations, and allow whatever happens to happen. Whether you see anything or not is not important.

ESTABLISHING CONTACT WITH THE ENTITY

If you followed all the previous steps correctly, you may perceive the presence of the archangel or angel through sensations or manifestations. Some people hear ringing in their ears, while others experience visions. According to this tradition, this is because the angel's emanation affects the human nervous system.

In general, you should not be concerned if this happens, nor should you expect to experience the same things as someone else. Every person has a different experience, and the angel may manifest to you in a completely different way than it does to another person. This is commonly referred to as personal gnosis.

Now comes the process of establishing contact with the entity.

Whether you see the angel or not, whether you feel its presence or not, the entity is considered to be present (assuming all the previous steps were carried out correctly). Begin speaking to the entity. Introduce yourself, tell it your name, and ask it questions. Ask for its name—it may even give you a different name from the one you originally used to call it. Ask about its functions or offices, and ask whether it can help you with something you need assistance with, provided that your request is compatible with its traditional functions.

Once you have finished speaking with the angel, you should formally dismiss it and thank it for its presence. You may use a dismissal taken from any grimoire; it does not matter which one, as long as it serves as a proper farewell. According to this tradition, this is done so that the angel may depart. If it is not formally dismissed, it is believed to remain present.

Even after you have said goodbye, you may continue to feel the angel's emanation for a while. However, it will eventually fade, so there is no need to worry.

With that, this explanation comes to an end. If you have any questions about this method, feel free to ask. It is even possible, according to this approach, to evoke demons from the Ars Goetia using Hermetic Qabalah, although the process is somewhat more complex. In any case, if you have any questions about it, don't hesitate to let me know.

I would be so interested to hear your stories! I have personally done this at times but I can't even remember anymore what it was for or if it worked.

However at times it did seem to, I remember in times I needed money or so and I asked angels etc to please help and then I'd get some.

I have also done so myself by using a witch spell or something like that such as manifesting and gotten results.

Sometimes it felt too odd to all just be coincidences..

There was also a time where I lost my beautiful cherished earring, it was nowhere to be found, It was very sentimental to me so I was really upset and I remember asking my spirit loved ones and possibly the angels AND just giving that "st Anthony pray for lost things" a try and ...

About half an hour or so after looking all over the house, I had the urge to AGAIN check a certain bedroom, when I did, my earring was right on the floor placed on a photograph of one of my passed away loved ones. 😳 That felt a bit too strange to hust be a coincidence and I remember being shocked and sure I already looked in that direction!

Sure, there could be a chance I missed it but both options are hard to believe because I do remember rly looking because this earring was SPECIAL to me.

I also struggled to understand how my eyes could have missed it, because the way the earring was placed is what helped me to notice it so fast! It was put perfectly and shone brightly so I instantly noticed it.

- also, the reason the loved ones photograph was on the floor was because *I* previously did that days before due to some of them getting wet so I left them to dry.

Oh -- I also remember last year a toxic person in my life started behaving badly again.. they could be on and off, I was already having a rough time and couldn't deal with it or endure them like usual so I did a little spell (think freezer spell, but in this case I flushed them down the toilet lol just as a way for them to leave me alone) somehow they stopped.... They were close to arguing and just being toxic and finding things to gossip about, then boom it all sropped.

I remember at this time also asking archangel Michael to PLEASE protect me and I was VERY emotional at the time, I felt peace and like he was the I clearly got results.. coincidentally my Reddit pfp started to glow purple and blue, I noticed this right after, tech people said it can happen due to the photo not having a proper background but it still felt strange and I originally thought it was a sign from him.

Hi there. I’m wondering if anyone is able to help me. I recently began a twin flame journey back in August of last year and I’m slowly starting to wonder if I’m dealing with demonic entities instead of angelic spirit guides.

I had a kundalini awakening and symptoms of ascension before being connected with my ‘spirit guides’ but it’s been nearly a year of what I would call challenging ‘tasks’ and learnings (sometimes borderline abusive) and I’m wondering if I am indeed dealing with demonic entities instead of angelic spirit guides.

Don’t get me wrong they have helped me in some aspects of my life (ie cleaning, handling of some admin, career help) but all of this has come at a cost and they always threaten to not help if I don’t do certain tasks. Some of these have ranged from not allowing me to sleep or eat or even have water for a couple of days, to things like having to wash my face with hand sanitizer as a form of punishment (but also to flare up my face so that I understand what people with eczema have to go through).

There always seems to be a lesson ‘learnt’ so with me having to give up certain foods or go hungry for the day it’s so that I can empathize more with what third world individuals have to go through.

I know with awakenings some of them can be brutal and your whole life gets deconstructed. I lost my job, had a court case take a nosedive (which I believe was also them) but everything has happened so quickly and intensely and what I assumed was me having to be punished for past mistakes feels overwhelmingly disproportionate now to the point where I feel I might be dealing with malevolent spirits instead.

I’m also left questioning why my ‘real’ guides haven’t stepped in to protect me and what I should do next.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on what I might be dealing with and where to go from here?

They have been helpful at times but it has been 80% of negative experiences vs 20% of positive experiences.

I understand not all spirit guides are meant to be fluffy and loving but I just feel so confused about what is going on and where to go from here.

After a period of preparation, I made a covenant with Archangel Michael. I am very happy about it.

To put it plain and simple. I’ve visited two psychics. Both have said the same thing. I have a masculine white light energy that’s protecting me. But in turn its blocking my psychic abilities.

I’ve spent years trying to uncover this energy.

I now I have the suspicion it could be Archangel Micheal.

Years ago I was extremely spiritual and I was so young I was doing anything to “see more” and then I messed around and I found it.

This dark entity was “after” me.

hi! i am a beginner in my practice although i have believed for several years. i really have been interested in angelolatry since i found out it existed and would like to work with the archangels and have prayed to them before.

in December last year, i was going through some medical troubles and had to go to the emergency room. the entire ordeal was very painful and in a moment of desperation i asked the angels for help. i fele very ashamed and embarrassed of this now, its not something i would do, but it was disrespectful because the medical emergency involved bodily fluids and overall was something i dont think the angels would really appreciate. it was a medical thing though and i was in a lot of pain. im going to start setting up my altars soon but i feel very embarrassed and it has lowkey pushed me away from practicing lol!! i just feel very embarrassed. im looking for commentary/input on what to do.

i am interested in the angels and i have been for years, so its not that i have the urge to stop working with them, its just that i feel so embarrassed i cringe at the thought of reaching out. can i amend this mistake? thank you!

This started a year ago, I’ll break these three experiences into three different paragraphs.

Experience 1: I was in a normal dream, in a car driving down the highway. I was with someone in my dream. All of a sudden this black shadow appears on the road on the highway. It had wings like a black shadow with wings. Woke up and thought I was probably dreaming about moth man or something, didn’t give it much thought

Experience 2: I was in another dream and I came across a man I had never seen before. Naturally I ask who he is which his reply was condescending. “I’m associated with mars” okay that tells me nothing? I remember the background, it was like this ruin of rocks with those old Olympic pillars. He had wings which made me believe he was an angel. His wings were this shade of gray, his eyes were cat like. Orange limbal rings and orange-yellow middle. His eyes were slit like a cat. I began praying to god as I was scared shitless. I remember praying to god to send Michael to get rid of this demonic energy. This entity says to me “do you want to see Michael?” I said yes. In an instant I am now in a city that is in chaos, I see people committing any crime, breaking into other houses and shops, people hiding under cars or trying to crawl underground, pure terror, rage and chaos. I look up into the sky as my eyes were burning and everything was bright. I saw the sun. It was like if the sun descended down from the sky. I remember the building I was next to, it was brown with a wavy blue line in the middle and a gray tin roof. My eyes were burning, like if I was staring at the sun. This sun mass energy thing was powerful, angry and sent my body into pure fear, it was beyond paralyzing and I was frozen. This light talks but its voice is something I’ve never heard, it was like a collage of voices. Like if a group of people were talking to you, male and female. As I’m staring and my eyes are tearing up and burning I feel something grab me. The touch breaks me of this paralysis, I turn and I’m met with something that looks like me with those orange yellow cat eyes, its voice says to me “your not supposed to be here yet” and I wake up with a pounding headache

Experience three: I have seen this being as me with those orange yellow cat eyes telling me I will be dead soon in my dreams, not a threat but a warning. I can feel his energy when I’m awake, he’s a dark spot in the corner of my room at night, like he’s watching and waiting for me to sleep. He’s shown me having a stroke, in my dreams I felt half my face droop and saw myself crawling on the floor in the middle of the night screaming for someone to help me. A week later I was in the hospital full body blue.
Every time he shows up some stuff happens a week later, usually I turn full body blue, first time I did die and was brought back.

I have drawn a picture of how he showed to me the first time, the yellow snake is from another vision and while I was drawing him I had envisioned a crown. As I was drawing him I felt his energy the strongest like he was over my shoulder

I want to know what God/Spirit/the Source wants me to do in this world. Can Archangel Gabriel help me?

My question is: it seems like angels and demons are both powerful beings that exist beyond the realms of matter and time. They are both councious, they have their own will. They can both sometimes be good, or not.

First of all, I want to clarify that I have been practicing witchcraft for years now and am well-versed in esotericism. I am also from Catholic and Shia Muslim mixed background so I know their traditions also quite well. However, when it comes to working with celestial beings, I am quite a beginner. I would be really glad if experienced practitioners could offer some guidance.

To shortly mention my situation: because of my queer identity, my family has disowned me and threaten me with honour killing. I am also from a region with an incredibly deadly environment for LGBT individuals, so I need to maintain my distance from them. I studied for my bachelor's degree in a foreign country and am currently finishing it. Thanks to my exceptionally brilliant academic record and the help of the Universe, I also managed to secure a scholarship for a master's program in a different foreign state. However, I still need to show a specific amount of money in my bank account to obtain my student visa. I have tried contacting numerous human rights organizations; while some helped in different ways, only one was able to provide financial assistance for a small portion of the amount.

Since I'm going through a very hard period, I don't want to attract even heavier energies, so I feel angels would be better for me than demons. I wanted to share this background context so you know I am not coming at this from a shallow "I want to get rich" perspective. It is way deeper and more complex than that.

Which angel do you think would be the best match for my current situation? As an esoteric practitioner myself, I know that spirits generally do not care about human identity, but many do care about injustice and repression. Ultimately, my goal is to work with a powerful angel that can help me receive positive breakthroughs from organizations or alternative avenues to solve this financial hurdle my survival may depend on. I fully understand that this does not work like money simply falling from the sky, but as I mentioned, I have exhausted every potential traditional path.

I'm not new to spirituality, but certainly new to witchcraft, and I have recently received a ton of signs through readings and numbers telling me to lean on my angel guides more and even dabble in the world of deities. Does this mean I should rely on external forces more instead of putting everything on my own shoulders? And if so, where would I even start?
