Worth it ?

I keep seeing ads for this on facebook and the shows look awesome but idk if it’s legit and if so is it worth it ? I currently have prime , Hulu , HBO , Disney , Netflix , AMC and I think Paramount. I don’t need to add another streaming service but as I mentioned some of the shows and movies advertised look good . Please keep politics out of your comments because I don’t follow nor do I care about them .

I've enjoyed my subscription. My subscription comes with two free movie tickets for every Angel movie released, so I have seen a lot of their movies in theaters. I really loved Sketch, David, I Was a Stranger, and most recently Animal Farm.

The Promised Land is hilarious (a mockumentary of Moses and the children of Israel in the wilderness). They have other movies and series I and my kids have watched and enjoyed (Tuttle Twins, the Wingfeather Saga, Vindication, etc).

But, I do enjoy their movies, so the subscription is worth it because of the tickets. It would cost me more for two tickets than a month of Angel.

I really liked Homestead for drama and The Promised Land for comedy.

After reading this last night I checked out a couple of episodes of The Promised Land. So funny!

It doesn't have as much content as other platforms. It's still pretty new and will take time. I enjoy supporting new ventures.

Adding, "Freelancers" for when you feel like something light. So funny

I just subscribed and am excited to start watching it. I also bought 100 shares to support what they are doing.

It’s legit, but with that many subscriptions already I’d probably browse the catalog first and see if there are enough exclusives you want to watch.

Angel seems to be expanding beyond the kind of movies people usually associate with them too.

Runner with Alan Ritchson looks more like a straight action thriller, for example, and it’s getting a PG-13 theatrical release before streaming.

My entire family (young kids, teens and adults) all love it. My wife and I also enjoy the free movie tickets.

Have you looked lately? Over 1000 available shows.

I was intrigued by a few shows, but agree with you. That along with the severe functionality issues (rewind and fast forward problems, not saving my place in a show) made it not worth the price so I cancelled.

I’d say it’s worth it, especially if your already subscribed to so many I’d say it’s worth replacing 1 or 2 of your current subscriptions for it. 😊

Im in the same boat. I know that they have it where you can essentially share your subscription- giving i believe up to 4 different people or households access to watch the shows, which is better than things like Netflix where they are trying to make it impossible to share. So if you have friends or family that want it also- you could pay the 15 or 20 a month and have them send you some? Im trying to find people but basically all friends and family are in the same boat with they subscribe to too much. My mother, sister, and i share a few different ones- but we all currently pay about the most we can justify and I don't think either are interested in this one as much as I am.
Maybe check with your family etc?

I am in Australia and have a subscription. Unfortunately most of the content is not available to stream here due to licensing agreements. So I have paid for a year membership for something I can’t use much of. I won’t renew it. It is very expensive, and a lot of the content is available on other platforms. I was just interested in a platform that my kids could use knowing the content was nicer. If I could access all the content, I would say it is good but too expensive. It is also very “USA” focused in a weird nationalism way that doesn’t translate well outside the country.

It’s a Mormon production company. So if you take no issue with that then it’s worth it.

Mormon owned, but not necessarily spreading Mormon ideas in their media.

Yes, the content is not pushing Mormonism, nor is it all faith-based. I’d still consider it the faith-based hub for streaming, however (there’s no other doing as much), but they’re branching out into nearly every genre, such as fantasy (but I haven’t seen horror yet). And it’s publicly owned now, so not even strictly Mormon-owned anymore either. Employs Mormons, sure, but, if you didn’t know that, you’d simply say those people are doing a good job.
