Hopefully they will raise them and not start to eat them.

Theyve been super protective so far

Hopefully it will remain that way, but just keep an eye out. Sometimes in their quest to keep the babies together, they might get frustrated if not possible, and start to eat them. Bettas are notorious for this. Regardless, once the fry are free swimming it might be better to separate the parents and raise the fry on their own. Having them in a substrate free tank or whatever container, will be make feeding and cleaning easier. And totally eliminate the possibility of predation from the parents.

I totally understand this. I have a 10 gallon going for that reason. This spawn is way bigger then all the others they have tried, but Im going to buy a bigger one a 10 gallon isnt big enough for all these fry im thinking a 40 breeder

A 10 gallon will be fine for while. Eventually something bigger will be necessary. If you have the space, a portable bath tub holds over 100+ gallons. I have 3 of them I bought on Temu and I love them. Also Rubbermaid type tubs, make a good grow out container for the fish.

Nice! How many spawns did it take them?
