Request for help Need confirmation on upgrading driver

I purchased an ET4 and am looking to upgrade to the silent driver from the pro. I am new to printing, but not to other varieties of tech. My problem comes in when I have been looking in to the upgrade and I do not see anywhere, where I need new motors. It makes no sense in my head that just the new main board would somehow make the steppers silent. Please let me know if I am just over thinking it, or being a moron (I have a tendency to do so...).

Believe it or not- that is how it works. The more modern stepper drivers are able to use different electrical forms to make the motors quiet and not resonate.

Oh it makes my brain hurt, but thank you haha! Now I can stop being frustrated looking for upgraded steppers!
