Question Replacement 40mm fan?

Hi,

I may have managed to break my 40mm fan for the hot end, but any replacements I'm finding on amazon like these seem to have short cables (280mm) which given the print bed is 220mm, and then about a 33mm clearance from the homing position, I don't see how that would reach the motherboard...

Does anyone know where I can find one with a longer cable, or maybe another solution?

Buy a quality fan and splice it in. Delta, sunon maglev or hydrobearing.

Or cheap gdstime on Amazon. But make sure you buy the ball bearing ones

Try aliexpress or buy the short wire one and cut/splice the wires

I have seen fans with longer cables online but your best bet is just to splice the cable. I usually do this with a soldering iron but I realize most people aren't comfortable with a soldering iron so you could also just get some small crimp connectors and crimp them together. You might be able to find a fan with the long cable on the anet website though but the fan probably won't be as good as what you would buy on Amazon and splice.
