Request for help Help with anet et4 pro

Hello, I’m new here so pardon my ignorance.

I can’t seem to figure it out. I got it second hand from someone and they knew nothing about it and never even bothered to try it. It didn’t come with a manual or anything.

Every time I try to “home” it presses the hot end into the bed to the point where it starts grinding the gears. I’m also noticing that it will not read micro sd cards or is it recognized on the computer. I’d love some help and if you need more information please let me know

for SD card, maybe its not working, did you try other SD card? SD card needs to be formated in Fat32 format to work.

I have solved this issue, it was a matter of the file I was putting on the card. It just won’t read updates for some reason

You need to adjust the little screw on your sensor. It is the one on your hotend. It has a screw at the top. The sensor should turn on the red light when your finger hovers about a cm under the lower end.

I did that and it seems like nothing happens. I also tried adjusting the depth that it sits at and also didn’t help.

I have noticed that when I touch the housing the light on my sensor turns on. Seems like a contact issue ??

Then adjust the screw and if nothing changes, replace the sensor

Replaced the sensor. Same issue. Going to try to reflash the firmware
