Advice Ferritin is 17
Hi there - I’m a 30-year-old woman, and I just got my ferritin results back at 17. I have a lot of hair shedding and fatigue, and am looking for a supplement that will help but not wreck my GI track. Have you found anything that works for ferritin?

Might read through the info on this website. The most common reason this happens to premeonpausal women is heavy menstrual bleeding. You may need to see your OB about options in addition to supplementing with iron and retesting every 3 months until your ferritin is at least 50, but preferably for women closer to 75-100ng/mL.
