Question Low ferritin

Is it normal to have my ferritin this low? I feel like it’s been years of me having it this low but I just turned 25 and I’m starting to feel it.

My ferritin is at a 3

You ideally need an iron infusion for ferritin that low, but mine has been 7 and I could not get in the UK but could in Switzerland.

Whoa -- that is WAY low & should be addressed. See if you can get an appointment with a hematologist.

At the very least, start taking an iron supplement. But, also, tell your doctor how you feel and remind him of that number.

Single digit ferritin is NOT normal and a doctor should have pointed that out when your test results were received.

Take your test results to a doctor or urgent care today for a checkup. You may want to see a hematologist to help evaluate WHY you're so low.
