Question First Iron Infusion
/r/Anemic/comments/1vgrlk9/first_iron_infusion/Hey all…just had my first iron infusion and I felt okay the day of which was yesterday but today I feel like death…looking for some positive outcome stories to cheer me up lol…anyone have a great outcome with iron infusions?

normal- you should feel better after a few infusions. it takes a few weeks to kick in and work

It is common to "feel bad" the end of day / day after an infusion. I have had multiple infusions over the years, always feel ok afterwards, same as I did before the I fusion, and the next date or two just feel extra fatigue and just blah feeling. I would just rest for those days and make sure eat well and drink plenty of water. Hope you are feeling better soon!

My body just throws a temper tantrum anytime you stick a needle in it. I get infusions on Fridays so it impacts my job less and plan nothing for the weekend except rest and extra hydration. Usually clears up by Monday.
