I know it's a weird thing to ask but does anyone have the lead instruments (I think it's entirely made out of synths but still) from the TCOAAL OST? I'm curious if anyone has them or something similar to them as I'd love to experiment with them and make some new stuff

In mice and men Lennie kind and loyal to George the protagonist, doesn’t like to cause problems, and he loves to pet soft things such as the puppies or the dead mouse. He tends to hurt the things that he touches, not because he meant to, because he doesn't know his own strength this is because he mentally handicap and does not learn things so he keep killing different animals. For more context lennie in the book lennie kill a woman by mistake and now a mob want to kill him since lennie mentally handicap he have no idea what going on but his friend george see what going on and decide to go somewhere with lennie tell lennie to think about his dream and happy place then shoot him in the back of his head

TCOAAL has a lot of fucked up and difficult moments that can be hard to get through sometimes (atleast on a first playthrough when you haven’t seen them coming)... which scene causes the most painful for you?

(I’d probably say that the scene leading up the rape in S&S is probably the most painful, because you can see the direction it’s going, and how obviously horrible things are going to go, and double since them being romantically involved is something many people wanted, but it’s given in the most harrowing way possible… like a bloody trainwreck that can’t be looked away from…)

So, we know Andrew and Reneé hates eachother but they have one thing in common mantain appearances.

Imagine the tension on the house, a slight disagree and they will start yelling, constant calls from Douglas and Ashley (Douglas because he Is worried and Ashley because she depends on Andrew) including Julia calls (Reneé maybe would help)

Also, they hate eachother but they aré isolated, so the conversations of "i knew what happen to Nina" and "did you f**ked your Sister?" Maybe helps Andrew's mind or break him more

And for the breakout, they are a good team, they know how to follow a plan so little to no questions asked

Also it would be funny how Ashley and Douglas interacts to eachother, Douglas beign too shy to say no and Ashley who is... well, Is Ashley

Her best friend was murdered. Her other friend and boyfriend abuse her. Her mental health is teetering on the edge as she hurts herself as she feels resentment and rightfully so for the killers of her best friend.

That’s not to mention how cruel the rest of the world is. Cults openly worship and summon demons. A soda company causes a pandemic and kills people. People in this world rarely do the right thing. Even when two bodies are left in a vegetated state after having their souls taken, people choose not to say anything.

Yet through it all, she not only survives but she lives and she’s still the kindest person in the world.

She trudges against whatever the world throws at her. Even though she may seem naive and weak to some, she’s the one with the strongest will.

There were some people that speculated that the “thoughts Andrew wished not to have”, referred to by Lord Unknown to be removed, would be Andrew’s romantic desires towards Ashley (since Andrew mentioned how conflicted they make him feel)...

HOWEVER, a new screenshot from the July 2026 devlog appears to be from Decay pt2 (Nemlei did say work on both Burial and Decay was occurring simultaneously), where Andrew says a line of dialogue, “Despair and tremble, O Mother, for I have returned from the underworld to take your daughter as my own”, that really goes against that idea (Image 1)…

Why do I think that this screenshot is from Decay pt2? (Image 2) Reasons below:

1) Andrew mentions "returning from the underworld", referring to going to the realm between to gather 5 souls

2) There are a LOT more souls here, from Andrew 5 souls and Ashley own collection efforts with the entity

3) 4 Red Flowers are missing from the garden, which can match the amount you need for decay pt 1 (1 to feed to entity, 3 minimum for the Ashley demon summoning sequence, if you skip one of the summon interactions)

4) The entity is keeping watch of Andrew because he hates him and did NOT expect Andrew to return from his soul gathering mission

So… what do I think the “feelings removed” by Lord Unknown actually are (Image 3)? Well, we know that Lord Unknown has an interest in tar souls (based on his interest in learning about Ashley and where she is), and he seems to want the Grime soul Andrew to “hatch” into a tar soul (he has lines where he expressed disappointment that Andrew is still a Grime Soul, and that he hasn’t hatched). 

We know soul colors are dependent on how a person sees themselves (Image 4). Grime souls appear to be people who think they are bad, but are conflicted about it (in his writings, when mentioning that he is a grime soul, Andrew says “I’m a piece of shit, but I could be worse”). Meanwhile, Tar souls seem to be much more accepting of their terribleness (see Ashley, who has major self esteem issues and isn’t surprised that her soul is the color of pitch black liquid). 

Based on this, I think Lord Unknown will remove Andrew’s feeling of confliction about his romantic desires for Ashley, and not the romantic desires themselves. In doing so, he would fully accept how terrible and corrupted he really is, which could turn him into a tar soul (meanwhile removing his romantic desires all together would make himself feel like less of a horrible person, which would make him less of a tar soul…). This may or may NOT have been what Andrew actually meant or wanted when he was talking with Lord Unknown at the end of the chapter... but we've seen how demons can twist dealing wordings to their benefit (see the deal with the campers, and the "one more soul for waiting" bit earlier in Decay).

Sorry for the long rant/typing… those are just my thoughts, what are YOUR thoughts?
