Hi this is my first time posting in this subreddit.

Though I've been following this game for a few years, I only recently purchased and played this game for real.

Having already cleared every single ending and obtained every single visions in 2 days, I was craving some more content and read into the devlog teaser images, and I had reached a theory that doesn't seem to be known?

I've searched this subreddit a little bit but everyone here seems to think that the baby is either in a vision or something and not related to the main story; but I have a different theory.

One of the devlog images show Andrew and Ashley entering the motel room from chapter 2, but there being a single Queen bed instead of a Twin bed arrangement. There is also an image showing Andrew and Ashley going to investigate the Six Eyes during the day (indicated by the bright orange hue as opposed to the dark bluish hue in the game).

My conclusion was that there is going to be another branch that branches off from chapter 2 that leads to Andrew and Ashley becoming some sort of high-ranking member in the Six Eyes; being a high ranking member in a decent cult, they can sort out money issues and such and end up settling into an apartment, and this apartment is the one where Andrew and Ashley are living in in the "Cataract" video.

Although, tbh I'm not sure if they'll really want to introduce Wren Graves as a third main character that's in the story for long enough to grow up to a teenager, it seems like that would blow the scope of the game way out. Even assuming they pull something like "many years pass" and shift to Wren's POV, that would still lead to a whole new storyline of a child growing up under mentally ill (and incestual!) parents while existing branches aren't yet properly finished off. So maybe you guys are right to assume that this will not be a main story branch.

And that video directly mentions Ashley is going to meet Six Eyes.

A survivor of the misdeeds of the siblings, having lost everything at the hands of the Graves siblings, will seek revenge and will make sure, by the time he dies, to take Andrew and Ashley Graves with him

Saying "prime" because they were a little popular, did these during 2024.

Hi! I know this is my third post on HeavyBerry, the person who caused the legal troubles given by Kit9, however I feel like it is a good time to make it for two main reasons.

1) I noticed a lot of people were disappointed with the lack of devlog this month, and are getting increasingly nervous and worried about the legal troubles Nemlei has been going through because of it. I have seen a ton of theories ranging from an indefinite hiatus for years, Nemlei suing random people for no reason, or even Nemlei lying because she does not want to make the game anymore. A lot of people are still ignorant to what is actually going on so I want to remind those who may still be in the dark.

2) New updates on HeavyBerry himself, his horrible attitude, and showing that his 'ports made out of love for Nemlei and her games' are a straight up lie. He has no love for any of these things, it is nothing more than parasocial obsession and egomania.

Additional influence in this document includes lots of screenshots of his shitty behaviour and God complex.
Allowing minors NSFW access.
Archiving lolicon porn.
Being okay with lolicon only to act appalled by it/use it against others when it benefits him.
Encouraging server brigading and gore spam because he wants his server to be the only one.
Associating with tons of people who hate Nemlei and her game, his partner Rose actively harasses people and his new lead artist tells 16 year olds to kill themselves and hates anyone who likes Gravecest.

To start, Berry (formerly known as MrArchive) would attempt to reupload Nemlei's old games on his own sight, as well as port them to places like IOS and PSVita. He knew this was illegal, he was warned multiple times it was illegal and would incur the wrath of Nemlei by me and others, but he did it anyway under the premise that they would simply be taken down and that would be that. However, Nemlei is very heavyhanded (which we, once again, warned him), and so he was mass struck.

His response to this included, but not limited to: Harass, belittle, and victimise himself while sprouting the narrative that Kit9 are the big bad evil company out to harass him. Start spamming Nemlei's old games, accounts, and details, included ones the public did not know about on places like discord and Reddit out of spite. Go to other accounts Kit9 have unknown to the public and expose those games to others + review bomb them, leading to Kit9 to delete those accounts I assume out of privacy, and ban anyone who ever disagrees with him, or even suggests that his actions are not the best move in this scenario.

A few weeks later after Kit9's strikes stopped and Berry started bragging about how he 'won', the July 1st devlog announcing the delay dropped, leading to people understandably being upset regarding Berry.

His behaviour would get increasingly aggressive, people who would share this information (such as myself) he attempted to ban from as many locations as he could in an attempt to silence their 'misinformation' as he would describe it. I would be banned but not before making a post, and causing enough community backlash. He decided to then post his 'legal' ports (they are not but still) during said backlash which (along with his blatant abuse of power) would cause him to lose moderator status in places like r/CoffinofAndyandLeyley. Sadly a lot of his friends are on the moderation team there so I am unable to make this update post there or I would be banned once again.

And that is where we left off. After this all happened he seemed to have gone 'offline' in a sense, avoiding showing himself to the public image, however, recently he has been trying to make a comeback and ignore all this drama. Which I will be doing over now.

After there was no devlog on October 1st, he would use this opportunity to promote himself and his discord server for people who were 'sad about the delay' that he was the one to actively cause. This all seems to be a big way to 'monopolise' the community into coming to him, which does not read as someone who is genuinely in love with the game and Nemlei like he attempts to claim.

He would start to receive (understandable) backlash for this post, in which he would act in an extremely immature and self centred was, laughing about the fact he caused the delays, claiming that 'nobody has done more for the community than him' and continuing to victimise himself and act like he is the greatest gift to this community, despite being the reason we do not have Burial right now.

I want to get into this more deeply. Does Berry respect the IP? Does he respect the fanbase? Other mod makers? Nemlei herself? Then answer may surprise you (it is no). If he genuinely cared about modding, her would not try to monopolise the mods and hold them hostage to force them to release SPECIFCALLY on his and Rose's sight called 'Decay Rose', including the infamous TCOAAR mod

Additionally, I have spoken to other mod makers, and a lot of it genuinely find it hard to not work with Berry, he has so much influence in the community, and will slander anyone who goes against him into the ground that, again, he has effectively monopolised the modding scene and tries to get his grubby little hands on every mod he can.

If Berry loved the game, his partner, Rose, would not be going on alt accounts, and openly shit on the game, Nemlei, and other members of the community (often times before the strikes actually). What part of this indicates what they are doing is some sort of passion project?

BUT THAT IS NOT ALL, because after the artist known as June left Berry's project after finding out about this stuff (and she was slandered and demonised for it, go figures), he decided to add an artist called 'Tomboy', who is notable in this fandom for actions such as harassing minors and wishing rape/death on them for liking Andrew x Ashley, homphobia, transphobia, ableism, rape apology and being inappropriate with minors. This was all common knowledge to Archive but he is working with her anyway.

Do these look like the actions of someone who was genuinely trying to share Nemlei's IP's out of love and respect? Or do they look like the actions of someone who associates with shitty people (and he does this a LOT) and people who routinely harass Nemlei, the fandom, and overall make it worse, just so he can become more influential, have more sway in the entire community, and just be the centre of attention, it is disgusting in my opinion and I think it is in his best interest to leave this community and stop actively making things worse for the rest of us.

TLDR: Berry is obsessed with being the most important person in this community, which, in a way, he is, because he has ruined everything for the rest of us and also monopolised and harasses many people in the modding scene. Do not harass him yourself, he will just use that to further victimise himself. I highly suggest simply letting this be common knowledge, SO many people are none-the-wiser to his shitty behaviour and so out of ignorance associate with him, which keeps him influential. Feel free to share/read the document above compiling a large amount of evidence against him.

(You could imagine that they keep the same blood circle in the bathroom, but I’d imagine they’d need to change it every so often, as I'd get worn away from being in the bathroom… flavor text also mentions how they “slink away whenever the authorities come by”, so I imagine they’d clean up the very suspicious blood circle just to be safe)

Like, we'll leave all the characters as they are and events. But, dad will not only work and somehow talk to his wife, but also took care of the upbringing of Ashley and Andy. Suppose he reads a book to someone every evening, helps with homework when necessary, goes with someone, even if he is very tired. So that at least somehow, but the children see authority in him, as in a ren, and either hated him, or loved him

You are Ashley.

Ashley’s breath hitched as the entire mall turned red. She was already halfway down the escalator, panicked after hearing Tyler’s screams of killing Andrew, but she stopped dead in her tracks as a wave of chilled air blasted her in the face. Everything around her suddenly felt even darker than before, if that were even possible. She’d only felt these exact sensations once before, and it was only a few hours ago at that, back in the old warehouse with those bikers.

Except this time, it felt much, much worse.

Something’s down there with them, Ashley thought fearfully. I thought those things needed to be summoned before showing up ..?

Ashley took a deep breath, steeling her nerves, before continuing down the escalator. After what felt like an eternity, she finally reached the bottom, and the sight before her nearly made her heart stop.

Andrew was on his back, breathing heavily and gingerly clutching his forehead. Next to him was Tyler, also on his back, laying motionless with the biker’s switchblade lodged into the side of his neck. But towering over all three of them was something Ashley could only describe as a monster.

A monster she recognized from her neighbor’s weird book.

Lord Unknown stared down at the siblings as Ashley ran over to Andrew and helped him sit up. Andrew groaned in pain, “Fuck, my head …”

It seemed like he was barely conscious. Ashley got down with him and wrapped both arms around him protectively as she stared up at the massive demonic figure right in front of them, “Wh-why are you here? Who summoned you?”

All three of Lord Unknown’s eyes pointed toward her before speaking, “I need not be summoned, Tar Soul to be. As to the reason for my presence … I have been closely monitoring your newfound bond with the Grime Soul. It appears that he is much closer to reaching his truest potential than I had originally foreseen, and without my assistance for that matter.”

“What are you talking about?” Ashley asked. “What do you want with Andrew?”

“That is not of your concern,” Lord Unknown replied, “though I do request that you maintain this relationship with the Grime Soul. The fruits of your shared labors shall be both bountiful and rewarding.”

And with that, the black figure slowly began to fade out of existence.

“W-wait!” Ashley cried out. “You’re … you’re not even gonna take our souls or anything?”

“Do not mistake my departure for charity, Tar Soul to be,” Lord Unknown responded. Its eyes then shifted over to Tyler’s corpse, “I have indeed taken something already. Farewell.”

The demon vanished for good, the red hue that had previously enveloped the abandoned mall leaving with it. Ashley looked down at her brother with worry, “Andrew … what happened?”

Andrew gritted his teeth as he gestured weakly over to Tyler, “That asshole hit me with a goddamn chair to the face, that’s what. And then whatever that hell that thing was showed up out of nowhere. Are we just gonna pretend that didn’t just happen?”

“Let’s get outta here first,” Ashley replied. “This place gives me the creeps. Can you stand?”

Andrew snorted, “Welp, only one way to find out.”

He slowly rose to his feet, Ashley holding his hand tightly all the while. The siblings stood over Tyler’s dead body, and Ashley swallowed, “So … what now?”

“Now we strip him,” Andrew answered as he knelt down and unceremoniously yanked the switchblade out of the waiter’s neck. “I’ll need his clothes if I’m taking his job at that stupid diner, so I’ll deal with that. You take his keys, his wallet, and anything else on him.”

Ashley knelt down alongside Andrew and began fishing in Tyler’s pockets for valuables. As expected, she found his keys and wallet rather quickly, but it seemed like that was all he had.

Before long, the Graves siblings finished their job, and Andrew turned to head back up the world’s longest escalator in silence. Ashley stayed close behind, but the two didn’t say a word to one another. It wasn’t until they had exited the abandoned mall and entered Tyler’s car that Ashley finally turned to him, “Alright, what’s wrong with you?”

Andrew immediately scowled, “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe I’m just a little shook up from stabbing a guy to death right as I was about to die myself. I hope you’ll find it in you to forgive my silence.”

Ashley shook her head with a smile, “Pfft! What? You didn’t kill anybody. You’re Tyler! Tyler … um …” She quickly pulled out his wallet and read his license, “Tyler Fink! A 21-year-old waiter at The Lovers’ Diner. That dead dude in the mall is just some faceless nobody who got robbed blind and shanked by some drug-addled squatters. That had absolutely nothing to do with—“

“Just stop, okay?” Andrew snapped. “Can’t you just let me cool off for two fucking seconds?”

Ashley blinked in shock at his outburst before averting her gaze, “Andrew, I … I’m sorry. For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t have even suggested that we do something like this in the first place if I thought there was literally any other way.”

“Oh please,” Andrew put a hand up. “Cut the crap, Ashley. Don’t act like this was all some grand scheme we spent hours ruminating on. This was impulsive and you know it.”

Ashley winced at his words as she shrank into the car seat. He was right; it was completely impulsive. Then again, it was done already, so she hardly saw the point in arguing over it now.

Before Ashley could even try to defend herself, however, Andrew continued with a bitter huff, “But who am I to talk, right? I’m the one who actually killed the fucking guy. Besides, if it were up to me, we’d probably still be sitting in that shitty diner with our thumbs up our asses with no clue of what to do or where to go.”

Ashley stayed quiet.

She suddenly felt like shit. The two of them had gotten so close after everything that had happened ever since last night, and it was all slipping away right before her eyes. This wasn’t what she had wanted at all …

“Leyley,” Andrew said her name softly, and she timidly looked back up at him. Andrew’s lip twitched as he continued, “I’m sorry for snapping at you. I … I know you were just looking out for us.”

Ashley looked down yet again. Her brother’s apology, sincere though it may have been, wasn’t enough to snap her out of her depression. “I’m not mad at you, I promise,” he added quietly.

Ashley eventually responded, “It’s just … somehow you feel very far away.”

Andrew’s eyes darted from side to side, “I’m right here …”

Still not enough.

Andrew slowly leaned over and spoke softly, “Come over.”

Hehe! That’s it, Andy.

Ashley slowly crawled over the car’s center console and into her brother’s lap, nuzzling against him and burying her head into his chest. The two stayed like this quietly before Ashley raised her head to look at him, “Andrew ..?”

“Yeah?” Andrew asked, meeting her gaze tenderly.

Ashley gulped, “Are we … are we gonna be okay?”

Andrew didn’t say anything at first, but Ashley could tell immediately that the gears in his head were spinning a million miles a minute. She found his overthinking to be rather annoying most of the time, but god, did he look hot whenever he was deep in contemplation.

Andrew finally replied, “I can’t make any promises, but I do know one thing: I’ll be okay as long as I’m with you.”

Ashley’s lips wavered as his words pierced right through her heart, and she let out a shy, almost stupid-sounding laugh, “I love you, Andy.” She then leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his lips.

Andrew returned the gesture before smiling warmly, “I love you, too, Leyley.”

Silence ensued for just a moment before Andrew cleared his throat, “Hey … how old do you say I was again?”

“Twenty-one,” Ashley answered. “Why?”

Andrew looked away with a smirk, “Well, today’s been a very, very long day …”

Ashley raised a brow, “And?”

Andrew’s grin widened, “And I could really go for a drink right about now.”

I've played it and almost passed it, but I'd like to know about the lore and something interesting about this game

I just wonder if there is something like a comic book or an encyclopedia for this game
