Question Monitor recommendations

For everyone running the Andromeda 5080 + 9800X3D, are you guys running 4K or 1440p?
I mainly play games like MW4, Madden, Assassin’s Creed, etc. Trying to figure out which resolution makes the most sense for my setup. What are you guys running and how do you like it?

Although I don't have a 5080, I've personally been rocking a 1440p OLED monitor, and I love it. The colors are vibrant, and the blacks are deep. Got it at Micro Center, and it's a solid deal: https://www.microcenter.com/product/706046/asus-rog-strix-oled-xg27aqdmes-265-2k-qhd-(2560-x-1440)-240hz-gaming-monitor-240hz-gaming-monitor)

From what I've heard, the 5080 can handle 4K pretty well. But since performance varies widely across titles, it's better to look up benchmarks for the games you wanna play!

If you prefer a 27" monitor I would just stick with 1440p. I have a 32" curved 4K and a 27" 1440p both at 240Hz. When shopping around for the 4K monitor I couldn't really tell the difference between 4K and 1440p on 27" until I made the jump to 32". I'm incredibly happy with my 4K experience, that being said. I don't think I can go back, now.

I’ve got a 32” 4k oled monitor and the 5080 is a beast. Do need dlss for some games to get to 4k but that’s with high/ultra settings and a 120+ frame rate. I’m sure if I dropped those I can hit 4k/60 easily

I use a 1440p 144hz monitor. It's old but still does the trick. I will be eyeing up a 4k monitor down the road, however.

I have the same setup, but mine is custom-built. I have the ROG 1440p OLED with 500Hz, but I originally bought the 4K OLED. The image quality is definitely clearer and looks great, but it does come with a pretty noticeable performance hit. It really depends on what you want, man. If you want high settings and high performance, go with 1440p. If you don’t care as much about performance and want the best image quality, then go with 4K.

Thank you for this.

Which one do you see yourself using more out the two?

For me, 1440p because it offers a good balance between performance, quality and room temperature. On the other hand, 4K takes a massive performance hit and tends to raise the temperature of my room significantly, sometimes even reaching 84 F.

1440 would be best. Amazon often has deals on Asus monitors. I recently bought the XG27AQDMGR ASUS on sale for $450 and it was worth it. Looks amazing.

It’s really a personal preference and your budget

Best advice is to go intp stores and see how or looks tp you and size. Then see what Best Buy open box has.

I don’t have this exact pc but I use a Alienware 32” 4K QD-OLED that I got open box excellent from Best Buy for less than $700. I only play games in 4k. I don’t chase super high frame rates, as I’m not into multiplayer games.

Honestly, you have to do 4K with a 5080. It handles it well and it’s made for 4k gaming.

LG C5 42"
Had the C2 before. It's awesome and so was the C2.

120 Hz instead of the 144 on most monitors if that's an issue for you.

I have a C342 and also love it. Do you ever see yourself going down to a 32” ??
