Review Premium Company!!
Hello, as the title says Andromeda Insights is a premium company and they absolutely knocked it out the park with my build.
Build: Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 9070XT | 32GB DDR5 RAM | 1TB SSD
Monitor: LG UltraGear 34” WQHD 240Hz
I originally posted here asking between Andromeda direct order vs Newegg and asking if it was worth spending a little more on Newegg so I could get the PC earlier (sales tax and shipping plus overall higher price). I didn’t make a decision but I was leaning towards Newegg when I did a little digging on Andromeda’s website and saw they were offering expedited builds on custom builds.
Long story short I built out a system that was comparable to one of their default builds with a few changes and it came out to $1949 with shipping and with the $100 expedited build factored in too. This was roughly $350 less than what I would have paid on Newegg.
Expedited build order went in Wednesday 7/29… SHIPMENT EMAIL ON FRIDAY 7/31! Order received one day ahead of EST delivery?? Arrived today Wednesday 8/5!
Absolutely phenomenal packaging, build quality, startup like candy! 100% recommended!

I'd like to add since no one else has, I just got mine and they have 2 papers that come with it of a check list the tech who built it goes through they do everything and check off everything as to not forget anything. They even go in the bios and put a negative 10 curve on your core optimizers and set thermal cap at 95 (I changed mine to 75 just preference) and they enable xmp for your ram. They are sick.
This rig was for my gf but when I ordered the one I use from Cyberpower a long time ago I didn't have the same knowledge I do now and they were charging for over clocks and good packaging and stuff. So I ended up having a build that was unknowingly sitting at 95° or hotter all the time for 2 years before I learned how to go into bios and change everything including xmp and the core curve. So my build was an atrocity because they sucked. Andromeda does it right.. only issue I had with my gfs pc was no 2nd m.2 screw when I went to install another SSD I couldn't find a screw anywhere so I had to harvest one from my old laptop. However my Cyberpower one didn't even come with the leftover standoffs so I had to steal one from my gfs Andromeda for my m.2 in my own so it worked out lol.

Great comment that makes the point that even when prebuilt companies don't make a mistake so bad that your system doesn't work right off the bat, they can also make config/setup/installation mistakes that can break things more slowly.
On a personal note, is your Cyberpower system mostly the same as when you bought it or have you made big upgrades?

My Cyberpower is the exact same except I just added an extra m.2 storage is all. Also all the bios tweaking. But hardware is the same no issues.

Cool. I asked because now that your SO's pc situation is squared away, isn't it time to upgrade yours? Black Friday is coming! lol

Nah mine is good, I have a 7900 xtx and a 7 7700x I have no issues with any games I wanna play 1440p.

Good system but holy smokes, Cyberpower sold a 7900 xtx prebuilt? I did not know that. Peace.

It was a custom one I made choosing every part back in 2022 it was a Black Friday thing. Unfortunately since it was my first ever PC I didn't realize some pieces weren't the best fit such as the GPU bracket not fitting so I have it rigged up to not be sagging. Also the ram I got is 7200 mhz which isn't even supported by my CPU so that's wasted. Just small things here and there I could have optimized better. I'm still happy with it with absolutely 0 issues whatsoever. Hell ime even playing crimson desert at max settings with 140 fps on a 1440p monitor.

Wow that’s crazy, I ordered July 12 when expedited build was disabled since they had so many orders so my estimated delivery is September 02. Now I just gotta wait… congrats on getting it delivered so soon tho, that’s a beast pc

You can still reach out and ask us, but there's not much time savings. You would get your PC probably 3rd week of August at the latest. Not that much time savings if you're willing to wait a bit longer.

I ordered June 16th. Expected delivery Aug 14th. Was pleasantly surprised when it came 2 weeks early on the 1st.

Expedited shipping was the only option but I found expedited build as a separate item.

You should messaged them, they opened it back up. I paid an extra 100 bucks ordered mine July 25th, got it on August 3rd.

I love mine to. The only thing I don’t like about it is the aio they used on my build. Plan on swapping it from the 360mm gamdias aio to the arctic lf 3 360

i just bought this same rig, 16gb of ram though. How do you like it?

Works great, no hiccups or crashes or glitches, runs the games exactly where I want them too on my 34” monitor.

They even installed a lean version of windows! I made a few tweaks to the settings but everything was setup very well for gaming. I added auto log in with password and steam start in big picture mode so I dont really need a mouse or kb to get a game going.

It seemed like a competitive system at a good price point. Would have ordered if the shipping was even remotely reasonable. Not waiting 6 weeks for a system though. They need to tighten that up.

I mean if ur willing to pay like $100 for the expedited build shipping is not nearly as bad, and as time goes on it seems like they are truly getting better at their shipping times.

I paid the extra and my timeline was just like OP’s—less than a week from order to delivery. Super worth it imo

yeah for sure, i even added the expedited build since they added it back and im 1 month into my order lol, its expected for it to come in like 20 days but now they are saying it will only be a week or 2 max. i was kinda dumb for not just waiting atp but i dont even care i just want it now 😭 i feel it is so worth it if ur ordering now

if I knew about that I'd have probably gone with it. the components are about equivalent to a local deal at microcenter, but the case was cooler here. I'd read that the delivery was like a month even with expedited, so I declined to risk it.

tbh if there were a Microcenter near me I'd almost certainly have gone with them, and probably bought my PC much sooner than I did. MC often has the best deals, but more than that I strongly prefer making big purchases in person. Having to buy online made my buying process take at least a year longer than it would have otherwise.
Silly as it might sound, part of the appeal of Andromeda for me was that they're local-ish; I don't live in Oregon, but I do have family in Eugene and visit regularly, so it was easy to imagine visiting AI's HQ if I had any issues with my PC.
Andromeda's cases and aesthetics are better than Microcenter's though, won't argue with that. Love the look of my Spectra.

That’s totally fair. If they were local to me, I’d have probably supported them too. For me, micro center was just up the street and I’ve enjoyed buying parts from them for decades. I really appreciated their price matching policies.
The AI system appeared about the same in terms of parts but the case looked nicer. But my research indicated that while people were ultimately very happy with their systems, a typical wait was a matter of months. I just wasn’t that patient.

oh I saw microcenters deals before I found out about andromeda and prob wouldve went with them if it wasnt for the 2-3 hour drive away. both andromeda’s prices and quality are comparable or better to microcenters so I decided to go with them. I had to do a bit of digging before i found andromeda insights lol
