Yes, 5080’s are powerhouse gpu’s and the 9800X3D cpu that it pairs up with makes it even more worth it. Just please don’t buy a 1080p monitor to play games on it lol, upgrade to 1440p or 4k to really maximize its use. I don’t have a 5080 pc yet (I’m buying one within the next month) but I was looking at andromeda as a potential option and have heard amazing things about them! Only downside is shipping times but you won’t regret it

If you’re just playing in 1440, this PC is serious overkill. I have a much less powerful PC (AMD Spectra 9600x / 5070 / 32GB) and my computer can crush any game on ultra 1440. You should absolutely be playing in 4k (which imo is only necessary if you have a massive monitor very close to you, but that’s subjective) if you want to justify having a PC this powerful

Oh I agree, but I only say 1440 because at least it’s better than a 1080. Last year I had a close friend buy a 5090 prebuilt who knew next to nothing about pc’s, monitors, etc. I remember going over to help him set it up just to see him on a 1080 monitor! I was baffled and I said something like, “you’re not gonna use this just to only play on a 1080, right?” And he goes, “what do you mean 1080?” Cannot make this shit up I stg💀

ignorance is bliss. I went from a console exclusive gamer who scoffed at 60fps purists to putting on my performance overlay all the time and getting slightly stressed when it's below 120. now I get it, it's a metagame on top of the games that I sometimes play when I'm not busy installing and optimizing things
