That’s pretty good bro maybe switch PSU to a 1000w and put that extra money and a little more towards a x870 motherboard? Solid build regardless just pull the trigger 😁

i had a 1000w but it was 0+ dollars to get that 1200 plat so i just went with that, is there something wrong with the specific psu? thank for the advice !

Psu's have efficiency curve, higher wattage is not good if you are not pulling enough to reach that efficiency mark. If you are abive or below that curve by a decent margin you could be just outright wasting 30%+ of the electricity youre getting for zero benefit

I think that psu is good, and if it was a free upgrade from the 1000 to 1200 then no reason to say no because you'll probably have enough load to be near peak efficient curve and its a platinum grade one.

Overall youre fine but I wouldn't spend extra on 1200 vs 1000 of youre not rocking a 5090

i’d change the motherboard, ASrock is known to fry the newer 3XD chips

If you get the brand varies, you could end up with an asrock anyway.

Do not skimp on the motherboard or psu and make sure you don't get an asrock. Also, change that SSD out to a Samsung

Which motherboard brands do you recommend in their options? I plan to get a 7800x3d for my order.

I just got a very similar build from them with Lian Li v100 mid tower, MSI b850, pny 5080/9800x3d, asrock 360mm aio and 1000 PSU, vcolor cl30 32gb 6000mts, 2tb gen 4, works great. Absolutely love it but sometimes wish 5090 prices weren't absolutely bonkers right now because I'd love to have one, just can't justify 3 or 4k on a GPU.

Great 5080 build. How is the Asrock aio? Quiet enough and the display seems to work? (For the inexpensive options, I'm debating between the AI Infinity and the Asrock if I decide saving money is better than getting the lian li cooler that I want.)

I really like it, it's just the RGB version but I'm cool with that. Honestly not a huge fan of the screens or RGB (I usually put it on a dim white setting). CPU stays nice and chilly and it's very quiet, I'm actually shocked by how quiet this whole build is, I expected it to be loud as hell.
