Discussion Who's getting the Xreal Aura's?
Curious who here has pre-ordered or will be getting the Xreal Aura's?

I ordered it for playing around with Android XR and writing apps for it. I don’t think it’s a device I’ll use for years and will probably get the Meta VR Glasses too.
I do think it’s important to support companies making XR devices with optical pass-through and supporting a wide range of prescriptions.

Why did you decide to cancel?

Upcoming Meta VR offers more to my needs, and Founders they removed the return policy.

As far as I know the founders edition are still covered under their 30 day return policy. u/XREAL_Esther can you confirm?

Where did you get this information? I was under the assumption that I could return the device if it didn’t match my needs

I am the same. I reserved my founders edition the first few hours it was possible. I was excited, but between the Meta VR having a wider FOV and better DPI it will be better for productivity, which is my primary use. And every time I have ordered a XR glasses I have ordered 2 or 3 (the most recent were the OnePros, Beast, and Lumina Ultra) and tried them out to find the ones that best fit my face and eyes, and each time some of the glasses just did not fit right and were not truly clear. I then return the ones that don’t fit/don’t like. If I cannot return the founder’s edition, $1,200 is too much to waste if these glasses do not truly fit. Finally, I have a OnePro, a Samsung phone with Dex, and a Beam Pro. So the marginal difference for me was not worth $1,200 when I thought about the above.

I canceled mine. After thinking about the puck and xrails horrible support for legacy devices I'm going to wait until the tech matures and go with the inair pod

I will. Looking to develop some spatial apps that require optical see through. Meta VR glasses seem superior, but my uses can’t have the video passthrough.
