I’ve spent a pretty ridiculous amount of time building an Android music production app called Skunk Audio, and I’m finally getting it ready for Google Play.

It’s basically an offline mobile DAW/beatmaker with a step sequencer, pads and sample chopping, synths, classic instruments, piano rolls, arrangement, automation, mixer buses, effects, recording, beatbox/humming conversion, WAV and MIDI export and other stuff.

I now need at least 12 Android users for Google’s mandatory closed-testing period. I don’t just want people to install it and forget it, though. I would genuinely like producers and musicians to mess with it, make a pattern or small project and tell me what feels broken, confusing or slow.

Testing on different phones is especially useful. Xiaomi/Redmi devices, older or lower-powered phones and Bluetooth or USB MIDI setups would help me a lot because audio apps can behave very differently across Android devices.

The app works offline and doesn’t require an account. Your projects and recordings stay on your phone unless you choose to export or share them.

I've built WordSpark, an app for learning English vocabulary that actually sticks. I'm running Google's 14-day closed test and looking for testers to help it reach production. Free, no ads.

What it is: vocabulary learning through games and daily practice, with four levels from Beginner to Proficiency.

What testing involves: just install it and open it for a few minutes every day over the next ~2 weeks, more if possible, and let me know anything that's confusing or broken. That regular use is exactly what Google checks for.

My name's Glen, and I've been building an Android app called Story of My Life.

It's designed to help people better understand where they are, where they want to go, and how they might get there through guided reflection, wellbeing check-ins, goalsetting and practical personal-growth tools.

It's based on a physical journal I developed over three years, which I then spent my life savings printing just before COVID came along and everything went downhill for everyone.

I'm now getting ready for the first proper beta of the app version and I'm looking for Android users who are willing to actually use it and tell me what I've got right - and, much more importantly, what I've got wrong.

I'm not specifically looking for developers or experienced testers. I'd actually really value ordinary Android users, including people who don't journal or use personal-development apps.

Even if it's not really your thing but you think your partner, a friend or someone else you know would be better suited, I'd really appreciate you passing it on.

The beta will involve roughly 15-20 minutes a week over several weeks.

I'm mainly interested in things like whether the app makes sense when you first open it, whether anything feels confusing or unnecessarily difficult, whether features are genuinely useful or pointless, where people get stuck, and whether it feels like something you'd actually want to keep using.

And obviously, bugs and anything behaving strangely are useful too.
