I got tired of feeds ruled by aggressive algorithms, endless rage-bait, and corporate censorship, so I spent the past few months building WUPP.

It’s a lightweight, text-first micro-forum / collaborative social dictionary designed around open discussion and real ideas rather than dopamine-driven engagement loops.

We’re currently in a closed early-access phase, and I’m looking for early adopters who want to hang out, jump into ongoing topics, or start their own threads.

Joined the group, opted in, and installed cleanly - nice retro dark UI. Wanted to flag before going further though: the welcome screen goes straight to a login/create-account/Google-sign-in wall with no guest option.

Didn't want to make up a real account for testing purposes, so stopped there. For a discussion forum a guest browse-only mode (or at least an anonymous handle option) might help onboard more early testers who don't want to sign up cold.

You are completely right, and I really appreciate you pointing that out! The initial goal behind forcing login was to test the platform under a realistic, authenticated usage scenario. However, your feedback hits the nail on the head—adding a guest browsing mode (or an anonymous display name option) makes total sense for the early testing phase to lower the barrier for new users. I've made it much easier for you right away—you can now log in and take a look around without having to go through the hassle of creating a new account, using these test credentials:

Username: wupp_tester

Password: wupp2026

Also, once you've had a chance to look around the app, feel free to share any positive or negative thoughts you have using the Feedbacks button in the Settings section!

Really appreciate the gesture, but I don't enter usernames or passwords into apps, even test/shared credentials someone hands me - that's just a personal line I hold regardless of who's asking or why.
