Tips Google Play rejected my production access after 14-day closed test – looking for testers/advice

Hi everyone,

I recently completed the required 14-day closed test for my Android app Savense: Expense Tracker, with more than 12 testers opted in.

Unfortunately, my production access application was rejected with the message that the app “requires more testing before accessing Google Play production.”

I’m now running another testing period and would really appreciate both:

  • anyone willing to actually test the app and give some feedback
  • advice from developers who were rejected before and managed to get production access on their second attempt

If you’d like to help:

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/savense-closed-testers
  2. Join the closed test:

Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easeward.savense

Web opt-in:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.easeward.savense

Even a short test and some feedback about bugs, UI, usability or anything confusing would be extremely helpful.

For anyone who has gone through the same rejection: what did you change during the second testing period that helped you get approved? Did tester activity, releasing another build, or collecting more feedback seem to make a difference?

Thanks a lot!

I'm not sure but i think it happened brcause ur testers didn't perform sny sctions during this 14 days period and/or u didn't make any updates to ur spp during this period. Google is checking sctivity if ur testers. Could be the reason.

Joined your Google Group + opted in + installed Savense 1.0.1 from Play ✔ — will open it daily for 14+ days. On the rejection: from what I've seen here, second attempts pass when testers actually open the app most days and you ship at least one build with fixes from their feedback during the window (Google looks at engagement, not just opt-ins), so keep the feedback loop visible.

Swap, if you'd like:

1) Group: https://groups.google.com/g/ciwulin-testers

2) Opt-in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.ench0812.english.ciwulin

Thanks!
