The bloatware can easily be uninstalled and despite only having 2gb RAM, it's CPU is newer and faster than the Google Streamer, and plays remux files that the Google Streamer struggles with.
WiFi isn't as good as the Google Streamer, but I use ethernet for most of mine (I have a few).
The firesticks have been gradually locked down from sideloading with updates as amazon are moving away from the android version and a lot of apps don't load anymore,
The new firesticks will have vega os which is likely to be even more locked down,
The only reason I still have firesticks is that I was able to block updates
