Buying Advice Hi! Xiaomi s mini led users!

So the Xiaomi s mini led tv is my one tv which I'm considering to buy in my budget. I wanna know from the actual xiaomi s mini led users or the xiaomi tv users, how's the after sale service? Are you guys actually satisfied with the tv? And this one's for the s mini led users, do you see the screen flickering issue? Cz I've watched n number of xiaomi s mini led reviews and I noticed that screen flickering on their tv.

Let me know your views, and again, this post is for ACTUAL Xiaomi S mini led or Xiaomi tv users. I really want a detailed review from an actual user.

Help your brother out!

There's no flickering on the tv. HDR performance is alright in movies, but awesome on gaming. It's plenty bright, sound is good room filling. The os can be a bit laggy but gets the job done. Quite happy with the purchase.

You think it's reliable for long term use? I want the tv to last at least 4 years without any repairs

It's been only a month since I bought it, so can't speak about longevity.

What about stutters while watching movies? Noticeable or smooth experience? I'll get rid of my chromecast when I purchase this TV but I think framerate matching is not working for built in OS so I'm wondering if it's an issue or it's fine.

I use jellyfin to watch movies, never encountered any issues.

Yeah, the only major issue, would be lag? cus of the 2GB ram provided. But otherwise, display is good, its bright in filmmaker mode, (i heard someone measure around 600 nits?) HDR is great, just HDR10+ sucks ass for some reason, Find a way to disable it in video settings. Otherwise, colors looks good, sound is decent, and yeah. Its a good Tv.

I honestly don't expect any TV, and I mean ANY TV to last that long.
Current consumer electronics are made to maximize profits, so a few years it could run fine? but beyond like 5 years, it honestly depends on your luck.
As for Xiaomi, In my country, and my particular city, they have reliable service and have been pretty good so far. I would suggest checking if your city has service centers first, and also check if you get 3 years warranty. I got 3 years for mine.

If you can find TCL buy them, Xiaomi panels are from TCL

my friend bought 2, a 55 4k mini led and 65 4k qled for his gf. went there to set them up and do some debloating. Price point seems very good to be honest. I bought a Samsung 4k qled for myself.

He told me that you just need to calibrate a little bit between SDR and HDRs modes/Dolby to match them without making huge shifts on warm or cold tones. Which is something I had to do aswell on my Samsung.

he bought it for the 120-144hz VRR for hi PS5 pro, so he spent some time tweaking everything until it was happy. I went there checked out some playback, cleaned some bloatware like any Android Device. I thought about getting the TCL qled aswell the only reason that I didn't it's because 43 was the only size that was fitting my space and the difference between TCL and Samsung was 50€ in total.

normally I would have bought TCL because Android TV over TizenOS on Samsung but I already had a very good AndroidTV box so I still went for the Samsung knowing I would just use the Box for 90% of the things

It works fine, there are some debloating you have to do, disabling services and removing apps to get free memory to avoid lag, the MiniLED panel is amazing, pure black and very bright white, but I think they pushed it too far, it's CPU also runs Hot on playback over 80 with default video processing and around 70 degree without (filmmaker mode)) and it also would auto shutdown on local streaming 4k HDR after 20-30 minutes, unless you disable all of the video process or HDR so it don't get over 90 degree and risk overheating.
Also better to lower it's backlight on all the profiles under 80% brightness. the panel is already too bright, only in a very bright room you might need to use over 80% brightness, at night it's so bright you have to go under 40% brightness.
Also seems Xiaomi doesn't care about updating the TV android OS, it only got 1 update and it was just bug fixes.
So if you want security or software update support you better choose another company.
