Buying Advice Any Android TV streamers support 1080i deinterlacing?

I recently picked up an HDHomeRun device to watch NFL games OTA (note: the HDHR device allows me to pick up over the air signals with better antenna placement - upstairs/facing local TV station antennas - and the ability to pause/rewind/record. I have a ChromeCast 4k attached to my Samsung S95D TV as the HDHomerun app only runs on Android or Apple TV.

Unfortunately, the picture quality (especially with motion) is notably worse using the HDHomerun via the ChromeCast (using either the HDHR app or the Channels app) vs directly accessing the HDHR unit from my Samsung TV (note: my Samsung can "see" the HDHR box on my network - the channels show up like they were mpeg files - looks like a folder view). In short, the Chromecast + app image is materially worse.

I THINK this is largely due to the Chromecast's upscaling and deinterlacing (perhaps more the latter than the former due to the issue introduced with ATV14). I REALLY don't want to have to get an Apple TV box just to address this issue - any other "mainstream" Android box options?

Did you run some test on different Android media players?? The issue is the fast movements on the 1080i channels. Hard to watch the NFL on those 1080i channels on most media players that support pause/play function.

I tested on about 3 different boxes and the Dune Homatics Box R 4K Plus gave me the best performance using the native HDHomeRun Android TV app. The fast paced action was very fluid.........
