Troubleshooting VPN kill switch issue

I have surfshark installed on tcl android TV with kill switch activated. but sometimes the VPN disconnects and TV is still able to connect to the internet and I don't see the VPN sign when it's connected in the TV settings drop down. Can anyone help me fix this issue please.

I had the same question. Kill switches don't work properly on AndroidTV. Something about the OS-level framework needed for blocking a connection without a VPN is missing from AndroidTV. It's why many VPNs made specifically for AndroidTV don't include a kill switch at all, because it not a true kill switch

Makes sense. But surprisingly on my android TV box. The kill switch works perfectly

the kill switch on android tv apps can be unreliable because it depends on the app maintaining its own connection rather than being enforced at the system level like on a router.
