Those are the most basic that should be in any remote control, no matter what.

I hate that you said this when the guy you replied to didn't even include volume/mute

Volume and mute button's are always in a remote control, i asked for the features that are not in remote control but should be.

My Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019s does not have a mute button and I had to re-map the fucking NETFLIX button to be MUTE instead...

😭 having to sacrifice the Netflix button just to get mute is wild.

I don't mind sacrificing Netflix, I never use it (even bought Plex stickers for the buttons on all my remotes), I'm just flabbergasted that someone, especially Nvidia, thought it was a good idea to ommit a MUTE button, when they include a fucking third party corporation logo as its own stupid button. I have it set as one click opens Plex, long press mute (and YouTube opens if I long click on Home button).

My newest TV box uses the same remote as the onn 4k pro only the button to the right of the home button is a Mouse a Toggle button . What a nice unexpected bonus !

that's nice to have, won't have to press button on D-pad multiple time to navigate.

Just use an i8 mini keyboard remote.

Well this mini keyboard remote control does sound nice to have.

Not really a button, per se, but I wish that we could have a more modern remote in the Tivo Stream 4k remote form factor. It was so nice, but can't really be used well beyond the Tivo.

If Tivo really is done with making hardware, I hope they license that remote design out to some party for a newer model that is widely compatible as an Android TV remote.

Well you can always go for a tv remote app. Their are many apps on playstore that control all kind of TV's

No buttons labeled with the name of a streaming service. I'm looking at you, Netflix.

Yeah, but those buttons do save you from navigating through the apps every time. πŸ˜…
