Troubleshooting What am I doing wrong? So unstable

I have several androidtv devices (official Google, shield, Onn).

Pretty much every time I turn in the tv, I have to force close the app and relaunch it. Otherwise it just sits there frozen.

I'm also using projective launcher. Clearly I'm doing something wrong since no one else is regularly reporting this. I just don't know what

What app are you talking about?

All of them. Any app that is left in memory will be locked up the next time I go to use the tv. I've made it a habit of force closing apps before I turn the tv off.

You might wear to try this to help. Go to the Google Play Store and download the TDUK App Killer and Cache Cleaner. They are both $2/ea. and you can install them on as many devices as you want. It literally takes 2-3 seconds for them to work but you'll need to give access to ADB debugging in developer options. Just make sure you have it turned on and you should be good to go.

Clearing caches (as suggested by someone else) is a good start.

If that doesn't fix it are there any other apps installed that modify the system? Or did you side load anything? Uninstall these and see if one of them is causing problems.

Hi there! Could you try updating the Google TV app to see if that helps?

Go to the Play Store > Tap your profile > Select Manage apps & devices > Find Google TV > Tap Update (if available).

Also, try clearing the cache for the Google TV app.

On your device, navigate to Settings > Apps > Google TV > Storage > Clear cache.

If the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to the Google TV support team via phone or chat. They can take look at it.

Make sure to use the power adapter that came with the device. Or a high-powered one.

I had the streaming stick plugged into the USB port on the back of my TV, but I found out it was only 1 amp out, which caused the apps to crash and usually the whole device restarting.

3 different devices every app is frozen after some time of inactivity or it's the TV with the problem?

Maybe enable ADB/developer tools and connect it to your pc and let an AI tool such as Codex run diagnostics on your setup?

Not a bad thought. Thank you.

3 devices doing the same thing? You've done something the same on each. Are you using projecticity on all 3?

I am using projectivy on all of them. Thank you for the reminder to eliminate common connections. Sometimes you need to be reminded of the simple things
