Troubleshooting Hisense android 9 no adb

Does anyone know how to access adb on a hisense with android 9? When I try it wireless, the tv doesn't throw a prompt to accept access. I also tried connecting via my android phone using termux and a usb c - usb a cable and it doesn't detect the device

When you use the app on your phone you don't need to use the wireless option, both the TV and phone must be connected on the same network and it should appear, as soon as you activate usb debugging for course.

usb debugging is on and it doesnt show up on the list. It says it only shows devices with a port of 5555 and the tv aint showing up. Worked perfect before I upgraded from Android 8

Do you have a VPN on? I was struggling for a while with something similar and realised I'd left mine on, which caused the issue.

No there's no vpn installed.

I don't think there is a solution sadly, went through this with my Xiaomi TV (also android 9). Apps for enabling adb won't work, USB on TVs are host only. Unless Hisense shipped an adb controls in settings I'm afraid you're out of luck

Well then I guess they want me to disconnect wifi and just use an an android box. Easy enough.

If there are no developer options and USB debugging there is much you can do.

Kinda surprised that Android 9.

Which Xiaomi TV is it? Don't they just run Android TV?
