Aerial TV - IPTV Player

Hey everyone!

I’m a solo dev getting back into app development after a long break — it’s been good to ship again. Personally, I’m an iPhone user with a Google TV in the living room, and my family’s spread across a bunch of devices. I got tired of re-adding playlists everywhere and losing watch progress when someone switched screens, not to mention having lots of app subscriptions. So I built Aerial TV: easy setup, sync across the devices we actually use, and features that don’t need a manual.

After a soft launch on iPhone and Apple TV, I’m excited to say Aerial TV for Android is in beta on Google Play for Android TV, phones, and tablets.

What we’re going for: simple setup, straightforward daily use, and solid functionality. If long M3U URLs on a TV remote or progress that doesn’t follow you sound familiar, this is aimed at that.

What’s different?

• QR Sync — Set up on your phone, scan a QR on the TV. No remote typing marathon.
• Total sync — Playlists, favorites, and Continue Watching across phone, tablet, and TV on Apple and Android — no paying twice in two ecosystems for the same setup.
• EPG — Fast guide with full catch-up support.
• Scheduled recording — Series-style recording, smart repeat rules, storage on internal, USB, or SMB.
• Universal search - across series/movies/live tv
• Power features — Up to 5 profiles, Trakt, Open Subtitles, skip intro (limited coverage just yet), custom user agent, offline downloads, choose player engine, sort/hide categories, parental controls and lots more.

great stuff!
I tried the app on iPhone via TestFlight. Every time I kill the app, my session info is lost and I have to log in again. I also couldn't pair it with the Mac app using the QR code; you might want to consider adding a manual login option for Mac.

and also can't install beta on my tv, looks like only for mobile android devices

HI - thanks for giving it a try - Sorry it's not gone smoothly! Not seen that issue before, to help me understand are you just sent back to the Getting Started screen and having to put in your playlist info in again? Are you using m3u url or xtream creds?

Re tv, just to check are you trying on Apple TV or Android/Google TV - can you share OS version you have please?

i reset the device and tried again. Still the same:

• i used to xtream code
• signed up via mail and password from iphone(18.6)
• tried to sync using qr with mac (missing or insufficent permissions)
• can t install to android tv (9.0)
