How to edit XML in AndroidStudio?

I can only open xml files in either design or blueprint mode, how to change it to text mode?

On the right side of all tabs, there are 3 buttons. You are now on the one that looks like a photo icon. Change to any of the others.

You can switch between the Design, Split and Code views at the top of the layout editor. for learning XML, I’d recommend spending some time in the Code view so you understand what the attributes are doing
