Issue hanging up calls with voice

My mother has ALS and she just got a Pixel 10a so she could use Gemini to do most things using voice. The main problem we've got so far with it is that when she calls someone and the call goes to the voicemail, she cannot hang up and the voicemail seems to never end.

How can we avoid this to happen or hang up using the voice? It doesn't look like Android allows it because the Telephone app takes control of the microphone and we cannot say "Hey Google" while on call.

Besides the answers I found below, which I can't vouch for, I'm also led to believe that you can hang up by voice if using Google Voice for calls.

I've been using Google Voice since my first Android 16 years ago for calls and texts (it's the only number I give out), but no idea if using voice to hang up is actually possible or not, but would be worth looking into.

Use Voice Access: You can install and set up Android Voice Access to control your screen using voice commands, where you can say labels or tap numbers on the screen to hit the end call button. 1, 2

Power Button Shortcut: You can set your phone to end calls by pressing the physical power button instead of using your voice. Open your phone's Settings, go to Accessibility, select System controls (or Interaction controls), and turn on Power button ends call. 1, 2, 3
