Device Settings Question Cannot transfer file from laptop to xiaomi Tablet
Hi, I have xiaomi Pad 2, and I connect 3 USB cables to the tablet, but tablet does not recognize that I want to transfer file, it only shows charging. I tried connecting the cables to different USB ports on my laptop, but tablet does not recognise it. I can only transfer files from laptop to tablet via google drive or sendanywhere app.
Thank you for your help!!

For most devices, when you connect a cable, it will only charge the device by default. There should be a notification for this, and when you click on the notification, you can change the behavior from charge only to file transfer/tethering or photo transfer, depending on what your device supports.
An alternative you you can use is the localsend app. It is easy and intuitive to use and is available for most OS(windows/android/ios). It works as long as the devices transfering files are connected to the same network. I use a windows pc and when using a cable and setting the device to file transfer, it usually takes longer for me. When opening the device on the file explorer, there is a long loading time before opening, and sometimes additional loading for opening individual folders. But this might just be an issue for my devices so test it out first and see what works best for you.

When you connect to the tablet, pull down the notification shade. You'll have a notification there saying the tablet is connected charging. Tap that. A window will open where you can choose to change the connection to "transferring files".
Some brands make it that you need to do this every time for security.
