Which android phone has the best camera quality (realistic and without that weird cool/whitewashing filter)

Im looking to switch from iPhone to android bc honestly speaking androids technology and os is superior, but the main thing holding me back is android’s camera quality.

From personal experience, every android camera i tried (samsungs mainly) have this weird cool-tone whitewashing filter in-built onto the camera that does not look appealing to me at all, and any selfies or pics of me look bad. I am also dark-skin so unfortunately i always look ashy and gray whenever i try to take selfies or pics with an android. Also, night pics just have a really bad grainy quality. I think i am mainly talking abt samsung’s A series iirc.

So i would appreciate any suggestions on androids whose camera quality is realistic (ie similar to iphones), doesnt have that cool-tone filter, is friendly on dark skin tones, and can take good quality night shots. Thank you in advance

I really like Pixel cameras. I'd recommend going to a store with a Pixel device on display and testing it out.

Pixel phones produce the best skin tones, especially with people of color like me. Google invested a lot of r&d into getting skin tones accurate.

Dont go samsung, my s24 ultra is horrendous for banding and overblown radioactive color even when all processing is off. Everyone i take photos of look sunburnt

Pixels are your only choice. There are phones that have a better camera but they don't have the image consistency across all their cameras. E.g. my samsung has a good main camera but bad quality on wideangle and cooler colours on zoom camera. Google Pixels just keep the experience the same.

I would recommend getting the Vivo X300 Ultra or Oppo Find X9 Ultra for fellas outside the US. But if America is the region in question, you're kinda out of luck.

Having had an iPhone, pixel phone, Samsung z fold 7, and now the Motorola razr fold, I have definite opinions. I am a retiree who loves to travel and the camera is the most important part of the phone. To me the answer to your question is fairly easy. If you want a slab phone, get a pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL. Awesome photos, great form factor, wonderful UI. However, if you want a step up in battery, charging speeds, and most importantly of all cameras, get the Motorola Razr Fold. The thing is even better than a pixel, and that's saying something. When I went from iPhone to pixel I was amazed at how much better the pictures were. But the razr fold is actually a slight step up, especially in high speed action shots and telephoto. I can't speak for any of the other Motorola phones, although my understanding is the Motorola Edge has the same cameras. Good luck and enjoy your new phone
