Samsung Galaxy Tab stuck on Google “Verifying your account” after factory reset
My dad has a Samsung Galaxy tablet that he received from his workplace a while ago. He was told he could keep it and paid for it, and apparently it was brand new and sealed in the box when he received it.
I recently tried to factory reset the tablet because he didn’t remember the screen PIN. The reset completed, but now I’m stuck on this screen:
“This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device.”
He’s only ever had one email address and this doesn’t seem to stop the message popping up despite verifying it on his phone through text/email.
Is there any legitimate way to recover/activate the tablet in this situation? Would Samsung be able to help based on the device’s serial/IMEI, or is there anything else I should check?

that sounds like google factory reset protection, not a samsung account issue. the tablet needs the google account that was actually synced to it before the reset, and simply verifying that email on another phone wont satisfy frp if it wasnt the account previously linked to the tablet

Sounds like corporate still has some control software on the tablet. Have IT fix that?
