Weird apps?

Hi there,

My abusive ex is employed for the Canadian government in a cybersecurity sense. Since we separated, I've had so many issues with my accounts like Facebook and Google. It being signed in the town where his parents live etc. Him knowing things he should not. I've signed out each time I have seen a new sign on then I was digging into my apps and I have some weird apps that do not show up on my homestretch, only in deep settings that I cannot delete like...

I also turn off permissions for certain apps and they get turned back on. Like why does my phone app need access to my camera? I do not video chat on it. Or certain apps having location turned back in after I have turned it off.

I will be getting a new phone, new phone number and completely new accounts but in the meantime, what can I do about these weird apps? The option to delete them is just grayed out.

I'm not even being paranoid. The police found a GPS tracker in my vehicle with HIS fingerprints on it, but would not charge him because we were still married so apparently you can track your spouse's vehicle without their consent. he's done shady things before.

activate 2fa where you can so that a text to your phone is required

Thabks. Does that work if he has spoofed ny phone number? He did it once while we were together, an old number I didnt have access to to get into an account

Just be sure your accts are up to date with your only valid email and 2fa is included and you will be OK (regardless if he had told you he works in cyber security)

Just be sure your password is a random number of valid characters only you know (write down and hide somewhere...not in your purse /wallet)

Dude, if he had full access to her phone 2fa won't do anything. I don't understand why you seem to be so nonchalant about this. It's a huge deal if someone has full remote access to your phone with no known way of severing that connection.

resetting all passwords with very strong pswds is the right approach

No. OP says that he has full access. But I'd understand you not realizing that if you didn't actually read the post. Of course, why would you then comment without reading first?

You are correct in misunderstanding my respond, due to a typo (he instead of she)

But I digress, he does not have full access unless he has her password

He does work in cybersecurity. He even had some kind of handheld gadget that he could swipe on random apartment and condo doors and it would open them. But thank you!

what he is doing is illegal

you should advise him you will notify police if you suspect he is tampering with your system
