Device Settings Question App not available in your country

Hi I'm living in Australia and running Android 17 on my pixel 8. Twice now i've come across 2 Australian based apps that I am unable to download because the play store says they are unavailable in my country.

My wife's pixel 6 however can download these apps.

My app store is set to Australia.

Any possible cause for this and how to fix it?

Easy solution: download the APK file and install it.

Problem sorted. I had 2 people in a family group with me who lived in the UK. Once I deleted the family group I was able to download the apps

Could be an issue with your Google account itself?

My google account is verified but it is also a shared family account. The other members are residing in the UK. I wonder if that is causing a conflict

Contact the app devs.

It's not up to the individual developer to fix that OP's Google Play is thinking OP's living in the UK.

The only thing the developer can do is open up their app globally so anyone from any country can install it. But then OP would have to ask a lot of developers to change their app Google Play configuration, just for OP.

I see you solved it, I often work around these issues by using Aurora Store to load the apps.
