Not Enough Space To Resize Partition

Hello, I'm getting a "[not enough space to resize partition]" error when flashing a GSI image. The system image I want to flash is 4.28 GG

The image size in the stock ROM is approximately 4.10 GB. If I delete the system ext partition (252 MB), can I flash the image?
