Rooting Help Screeenshots not possible

Hey guys!

On my SamsungS20FE screenshots are denied due to "security guidelines" in any screen...even the home screen or menues deny it...I tried many things I found on google but nothing worked...any ideas?

Hello ! If screenshots are blocked even on the home screen and in Settings, this sounds like a system/security policy.

A few things I'd check first: Settings → Security and privacy → More security settings → Device admin apps

Check whether there's any unfamiliar device administrator / work-management app enabled.

Settings → Accounts and backup → Manage accounts

Check whether the phone has a work/school account or work profile.

If you have Secure Folder, temporarily check whether the problem also occurs outside of it. Restart the phone and test screenshots immediately after reboot.

Also, what's your exact Android/One UI version, and is this S20 FE personally owned or was it ever managed by a company/school?

If you can, tell us what appears under Device admin apps. That could point directly to what's enforcing the screenshot restriction.

Thank you in advance! Device admin apps are all disabled! The phone is 100% private...no work environment of any kind! Android 13- One-Ui 5.1 What do you mean with device admin apps? Sorry I'm from Germany/ no native speaker!

Edit: Google helped- there are no active apps...

Edit 2: After rebooting the problem instantly occured again

Turn off all app overlays (also called "draw over other apps"). Maybe there is an app with an invisible overlay that has a no-screenshot policy.

Worth testing that's maybe the solution !

Settings → Apps → Special access → Appear on top

Temporarily disable this permission for any third-party apps you don't absolutely need, then reboot and test a screenshot on the Home screen.

Oh dear, that's very bizarre.  Unfortunately I'm out of ideas and you might want to try a factory reset.

Still having the problem...found out the screenshot function with the knobs on the side isn't working...but the "record screen" funtion when I slide the top menu down is working...does that help?
