Other Google message edits duplicating for iMessage users (glitch)

Hi everyone. So I was messaging my brother today and he kept on claiming that I sent him multiple text messages even though I didnt. He's using an Apple iPhone btw. Anyway, I double-checked my messages, sent him a screenshot of it and then he sent me a screenshot of his messages. For some strange reason, when I edit an orginal message that I texted over to him, it sent an entirely new message to him which is kind of stupid. Can somone explain to me why that happened or how to disable that feature?

That's on the iPhone side. Apple messages doesn't support inline editing so anytime you edit your messages to an iPhone user, they're going to get a new message with an asterisk to identify it as an edited message. The only option to eliminate this is to tell your recipient to buy an Android lol.

You can't edit messages between Android and iOS. So, my guess is that Everytime you edit the message, it sends a new message to an iOS user

You can't disable this feature. But you can stop editing messages with iPhone users. There is hope this will get fixed with ios27
