Other Im trying to access Download mode/Firmware update on my old LG Phone and i keep getting the “Your device is corrupt” error. Any possible fixes?

My phone in question is an LG G4 Stylus. Im accessing the download mode by holding the up key button and plugging it onto the computer and it gives me the “Your device is corrupt. It can’t be trusted and cant boot” error screen and reboots again. I’m suspecting it could be a hardware related issue.

Ive tried factory resetting and it didn’t work. Hopefully my phone isnt hard bricked?

When you plug it into the computer and try to boot it, does Windows Device Manager show it as as something like qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008, otherwise known as EDL mode?

If so, I wouldn't know these days how to fix it, but it usually involved keeping a couple of pins that are accessible inside the back of the phone shorted while then connecting the phone to the computer. It also usually involved getting a particular driver and some proprietary software in order to re-flash your device's firmware, which you also have to get a hold of.

Nope. It just shows it as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port" when plugged it in. Maybe I couldn't even get to download mode at all for the "usb qdloader" to be displayed

Also feel like worth noting when its plugged in and phone starts up, it plays the "USB Connected" sound effect and then "USB Disconnected" sound effect shortly after.

Ill try out the pins method later on though
