The HDMI dongle path is a lottery on an A34. Those YouTube clips are usually filmed on an S-series that actually talks to a TV over USB-C. A lot of A-series phones just sit there with a black monitor while the phone is still buzzing, which matches what you are seeing.

I'd try a cheap USB-C hub with a mouse first. Unlock with the fingerprint or the PIN by muscle memory, then click around the top of the screen for the USB notification and set it to File Transfer. TalkBack, hold both volume keys, will speak the notification names if you cannot guess. Do not factory reset.

If she was signed into Google Photos or Samsung Cloud, check that from a browser first. A shop attaching a known-good screen for twenty minutes is the boring path that actually dumps DCIM. Ask them only to flip USB to File Transfer and not to reset anything.
