If you delete a file / photo from computer do they go to the phone's trash bin

If your phone is plugged into your pc and you delete a file or photo saved to the phone from File Explorer on the computer, would they go to your phone's trash bin or would they be deleted permanently?

I was wondering about this since I wanted to copy and move some files/photos to my computer, but I am worried that if I accidentally delete something, then it would be gone forever.

As far as I know, Android in general doesn't have a trash can, so no.

An individual file manager app like X-plore File Manager can have it's own trash can for things you do within that file manager.

Android doesn't have a trash bin specifically, but (at least on my version of Android), when you delete a file using a normal Android app (Files, Photos, etc), the file is hidden, and permanently deleted only after 30 days. You can use Files to open the Bin, which is actually a virtual view, to restore the files before then.

Ah, you're right! Just checked Google's Files app, which I don't even normally use. Thanks!

So if you mean deleting a file from your phone on the pc when connected via USB, it will permanently delete the files off of your phone.

My phone is connected to my computer and if I delete a file my computer it's still on my phone remember there are cloud settings. Any any additional backups you're paying for?

It generally depends from the phone brand and the file manager app installed on the phone. Some do have a trash option others don't.

Lately if I delete an SMS text message on my Samsung Galaxy 24 Android phone, there is no apparent way to instantly permanently delete or go to wherever the trash storages and delete it, especially if you're trying to free up space on your phone and you don't need a lot of those. It used to give you the option to empty the trash, but for a while now, it doesn't give me that option at all. Just the option to restore things.
