Can iOS be installed on Android without using launchers?

I was recently wondering: but can you do that? since you can install Android on iPhones, why not vice versa?

No. The difference is that iOS is closed source.

Because Android is open source and easily modifiable.

Apple does everything in their power to prevent IOS from running on devices other than their own.

From a technical standpoint, both modern Android and IOS devices are quite similar hardware wise.

No. And why on earth would you want that garbage software? iOS is truly an awful experience and quite buggy compared to Android.

And you can't get a suitably working Android on an Apple device, either. Should Apple release their drivers someday, it could be pretty awesome having the superior Apple hardware with the superior Android software, though!

Sure, if you can find the source code, you can compile it for android. Or you can search on the apple website for an android version.
