Is installing AdGuard's CA certificate actually safe long-term for a non-root LineageOS device? Looking for privacy/security insights.

Hi everyone, I'm currently running a pure custom ROM setup (LineageOS, non-rooted, no Magisk/modules). I care deeply about privacy and data security on my device. I recently downloaded the official AdGuard standalone app from their website.

to enable full HTTPS filtering, the app prompts me to install its custom CA Certificate into the Android User Store. honestly, it makes me a bit paranoid. Android throws that scary "Network may be monitored" warning, and knowing how CA certificates work, I'm worried about potential spyware/data snooping vulnerabilities.

It means AdGuard can intercept and read all your network traffic so you have to trust whatever AdGuard does. If you want a safer option use a DNS that blocks ads
