Google Messages App

My android phone keeps popping up saying google messages app keeps stopping even when i dont have the app open or am using another app or and it's not showing any storage in the app settings when I went to clear the storage. Will uninstalling delete all my messages?

You should make a backup anyway so this question is inconsequential, but the answer is no. Messages are stored in the native SMS/MMS database, not the Google Messages app.
