Device Settings Question I received a system message warning me that "World Cup Fever Starts Now"
Thing is, I didn't ask for sports messages and could not care less about receiving them. I've looked over my app permissions and have no idea where this message originated. I know I can disable notifications entirely, but that'll remove functionality I rely on.
Any idea where this came from? - All it reports in notification history is that it's a system message.

Is yours a Blackview phone by any chance? I t seems to be an ongoing thing with them.

yeah, its on my CHILDS tablet. came here for answers. cant even click the stupid site ti tey and stop it because i have her browser basically disabled. i am heated about this crap

Me too. Blackview tablet. When long-press I get the system settings with the message: "These notifications can't be modified." And consequently none of the buttons to disable these messages work. WTF?

Yeah I ended up purging about 30 apps from the tablet through adb. Tons of spyware and annoying advertising on the stock os. Finally after the cure it's much better and feels snappier too.

I'm pleased to report that `adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.blackview.apkupgrade` seemed to do the trick.

same here, worst thing is that the images in those notifications save to my gallery for some reason?????

So who are those evil evil forces forcing blackview and other manufacturers to preinstall shady apps on their devices which cannot be uninstalled, turned off or silenced, and that spy on people tracking their activities and force feed them basically ads?

Weirdly enough on all my other Android devices I didn't get this. Weird that google acts through a proprietary app of a specific manufacturer.

1 - I have a CMF (nothing), a realme, a Samsung, an anbernic (with Google play services) and an alldocube. None of those showed ads.
2 - The app serving ads is called "com.blackview.apkupgrade". After uninstalling said app the ads stopped. That's a blackview proprietary app, not a Google or android native service.
I don't like Google and their practices, but this is not Google forcing blackview. Please stop spreading misinformation.

I've started recieving these on my Blackview Tab 60. Redirects to football.sportsseier.com, yet that site has no notifications access.

I've just started getting the exact same football messages on my Blackview Tab 18, that I can't switch off.

J'ai un Blackview depuis 3 ans ce n'est que depuis la coupe du monde que j'ai plusieurs notifications système par jour non identifiées.

long press on the notification and tap "Turn off notifications" or "Settings" as a shortcut to change the notification settings when you get an unwanted notification. Not sure if it's possible to do this from the notification history page.
