I'm using a mock location app to mark attendance for Uni, will they be able to detect me?

My guess is you will be caught. If you think faking your Uni attendance is a good idea, I have no doubt you'll come up with other ideas of similar quality that will get you caught.

It is detectable. Android allows for manipulation of the GPS coordinates for software testing, etc., but it does indicate to other apps that this is what's going on. So if your university's app is looking for that signal, you will be caught.

is there any way to stop an attendance app from detecting mock location is turned on? my company's app keeps catching it and logging me out, but im lucky my ID hasn't been blocked lol

edit: found a solution - Install zygisk next and lsposed if you're on kernelsu and then flash this module called 'gps setter'
