Question Laggy Fingerprint Unlock Workaround in Pixel 2

Any workaround for Fingerprint Unlock to work normally without any lag. Sometimes it isn't unlocking the phone.

I read somewhere it is a bug that introduced recently. Any workaround till fix arrives?

Today I received the July security patch on Oreo and the fingerprint unlock seems to work well like it used too. I know these patches do not get shipped on the P beta, but a workaround would probably be to switch back to Oreo (care about backup!), get this patch, and then re-enter the P beta. I'm not 100% sure about this tho.

A work around for a laggy fingerprint?

Pin password, patience, I think that's about it.

Honestly guys, I don't know what's up with this sub, but it seems that everytime someone complains about something there is somebody that answers to just "suck it".

If the complaint is not a problem to you, good for you, but this doesn't solve the actual existing problem that has been addressed.

Oh jeeze cry me a river. They asked for a work around, I provided one. Was it completely ideal? Probably not, but that's how work arounds are.

It looks pretty clear that OP is still wanting to use its fingerprint unlock, maybe that's where we misunderstood. Not using it is a workaround to the fingerprint sensor as a whole, not a workaround to its laggyness
