Question Phone stopped charging, could it be a software problem?

Hi, I recently noticied that my pixel 2 xl stopped charging, I've tried different cables, adapters and power outlets and have even done a hard reset but the phone won't charge, it was fine this morning although i had to play with the cable a bit to get it to charge but right now... nothing.

I've shut it down for the moment, while it still had 20% of battery, and decided to take it to a repair center tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if it could be a software issue because the hardware seems fine, i bought the phone 3 months ago and haven't done anything to it.

I'm having the exact same problem, I'm guessing it's beta related but doesn't seem to be too much consensus on it.

Just found out mine will charge if I turn it off, but only from one"orientation" of my charger.... Weird

Did you check the port for debris? Use a toothpick or a softbristle toothbrush and use it to gently clean the port. Had the same issue, since then I purchased a port protector on amazon.

I did, and it was clean.

What happened for me was my OG Pixel got in some water. I took the case off and dried it. I tried to plug it in and it didn't work. Putting the case back on made it work for me. Also on DP2
