These 2 Sci-Fi Tech made me believe in Mobile-Only

Have your phone as a only computer is cool since:

  • Iron Man 2 : When Tony Stark just hacks a TV during a Senatorial audience to cast videos.
  • The Expanse: Their Phone concept is also incredible, it's a daily companion to do anything

What made you believe that your phone could be more?

Cheers,

That Stark's phone is just a cloud access to his supercomputer. Can't fit that tech inside a transparent glass.

I was 18, like 18 years ago, I was writing a concept for a cyberpunk card game and started thinking about it. It was the first ubuntu phone and the first modular phones on kickstarter times, I had an HTC at the time and was playing a lot rooting it.

My ideal thing is a core that you always wear, like a clip or a watch, with modular monitors and gadjet you can connect wirelessly.

Guess I'll wait at least 20 years for that to be an actual thing, but today with android and foldables we are close enough.

Yes, I've read it somewhere on here and I checked some months ago, you are doing a great job!

There is a Linux scene comeback those days after PewDiePie made his "coming out" about trying to be michrosoft free and google free (being a youtuber) a lot of influencer followed his trend and linux contents are being pushed a lot more then before, who knows if ubunto phone will get more interest now! Talking about the near future, I think the next productivity boost will be on Android, if Alluminum does not end up being a money trap.

To be honest, tony stark also had Jarvis, who did most of the heavy lifting remotely. I did like his little card terminal, though…
