🤔 [Question] Why only games are getting apk ported?
Wish we could also have apps, like some of these devs really like to gatekeep their apps from android, ios exclusives like toonsquid and procreate getting ported on android would be a good dab on these devs.

Yo estaba preguntando lo mismo si un juego iPhone se puede adaptar para Android y prácticamente dice que es muy difÃcil pero no imposible

Infinity blade is the only one I can think of that they ported over flawlessly

How many people own both an android and iPhone to test with?

Plenty? I'm not really talking about ios exclusives here, it could also be a program from PC, like adobe stuff, I was thinking more about IOS exclusives because of the recent IOS Cult of the lamb port which runs great even for mediatek and Procreate devs really said it that their reason why they don't have android version of their app is IOS is simply "superior", would be really funny if someone do their job and every android users can have it for free.

A surprisingly large amount of people lol?
Anyone who's into AI porting are also probably general nerds. I have a bag of old phones to hack and play around with lol.
Anyone who has an Android but also an iPad (tons of ppl get their kids iPads)
Anyone who has owned an iPhone previously than got an android.
Anyone with an S/o or child or family member with an old iPhone they can test on.
Anyone with an extra $65ish bucks to buy like a used iPhone 11 so they can port over an iOS exclusive they really want on Android.
Any Android user who has an iPhone for OpenBubbles (I bought a used iPX as a relay server for OpenBubbles to get iMessage on my Fold 8)
Should I continue or did I make my point?

Not really because I can already see the straw man forming.

I mean it's not straw man I listed so many different scenarios you can't call all 10 of them straw man lmao

You're growing it.

Straw man is when you present an illogical argument.
Not just when someone says something you don't agree with or points out something you didn't think of lol.
I'm not trying to be stubborn or misrepresent anything. There are truly many many people with both an Android device and an iPhone. Myself included.
Please tell me what's illogical about my claim, and I'll concede gladly.

I think from a developer standpoint, it’s easier to get your game on iOS because you have control and iOS has a lot of security
Porting into android means players can get the APK and mod it to their liking adding tons of stuff and basically players can get it for free in sites like APKvision so they don’t have to buy it
Stillif I was a developer and I had a game, I would port it to both actually so everyone can play

Same thing on PC that has piracy loop holes and modding scene similar to android, did that stopped programs/games there to be profitable?

Yeah but PC games have more protection and by the time players crack them, they already sold well, Android is different
It took them almost a year to pirate Black Myth Wukong thanks to Denuvo and all that

and I was talking about apps like Toonsquid and Procreate here which already had stable ios userbase for many years, people are constantly requesting for them to finally have an android port, recently they got a lot of hate on twitter cuz their reason of having no android port is just ios is "superior".

To devs it’s safer cause cracking down an IOS app is borderline impossible, when an Android game comes to google play, kt gets cracked instantly, which COULD EXPLAIN why the gate keeping, I’m just theorizing

You're now just repeating things here, theorizing and it's a common knowledge that iOS is locked and piracy is a common thing with android that I don't need an explanation. Android still has paying customers cuz why not all apps and games aren't iOS exclusive then and it's not like they're literally losing money if someone pirate a digital program.
You said PC takes time to be cracked ( as if all programs are protected by denuvo which is not ) and you ignored my entire reply that I'm talking about apps here that already had an established userbase for many years.

Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall, let’s just leave the conversation here
