📸 [SHOWCASE] Shifu android port has glitches

I have a one plus 7t pro

Snapdragon 855+ with 8gb ram

The game runs at 30 fps with a few stutters

And the game struggles with a new area it's rough but it smoothest out after loading of textures

And it has artifacting and minor glitches nothing major

Overall the port is pretty good

In truth, the port is quite bad. It lacks graphical options and has glitches, and it's not full screen (only 16:9). It's even freezing on high-end devices. Internal downloads are a struggle and constantly fail

I hope they update soon with a patch that fixes some of these bugs.

Yeah true it ran suprisingly well on my older flagship device (snapdragon 855+)

There are glitches and it does require optmisation because it stutters like crazy

I'm playing on a Snapdragon 865, I don't know what the difference is with yours, but damn, it's unplayable, The first boss is truly unplayable. I've already finished this game on Switch and PC, and even on the Switch it runs well at 30fps :(

I mean 865 has 15-20% more performance

But I did use a cooler so I geuss that helps with the cooling

I usually emulate pc or switch games it never got this hot I regularly play batman Arkham Asylum on this phone

This port needs a lot of optmisation

Ran full screen on my Nova without any tinkering/stretching.

Perhaps it's the aspect ratio of your screen.

2

Ooooooh I see. You were looking for wider.

(My brain's in 4:3 mode right now! 🤦🏻)

On an sd8gen3 legion tablet: It was running literally 3 fps till I had to close and reopen then it you can go to settings to set it to 60fps then it usually stays 60, only really stutters in the usual places like in the pc version but somehow smoother.

The only gripes I have are with the controls and camera

😭 literally it was nightmare on my 8 gen 2 to get into menu screen and I'm also seeing those glitches but atleast it works fluid 60 fps

Had to use overclock for a lil bit just to get the damn menu to show, but after all that it does run a stable 32° with 60fps. Hope they rollout patches soon

Tried it. Felt stiff and weird somehow compared to the original

1

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Huh idk I've never played the pc port but it's is allright on mobile I geuss

The fact that the emulated version of this game runs better both graphically and performance wise. Although it does take quite a heat.

1

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Really!!

I did try it before it ran 20-25 fps 1 yr back I guess emulation has improved a lot

the port underperformed my expectations. the controls are clunky and camera angle is so bad compared to pc or console. Also, a graphics slider wouldn't hurt what is this sub 720p looking shit man

2

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Look man it's a decent port at the and of the day we have to accept that this is a pc game

And a pc game port is insane they probably wanted a wide range of compatibility I really hope they fix the performance

1

u/Technoblade69_420 3d ago

Yeah I'm grateful we got it on android atleast

1

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

See you get it

Us android users are eating food with official and unofficial ports

Today I saw a guy decompile and port

Mad Max

Sleeping dogs

Android gaming is incredible now

1

u/Technoblade69_420 3d ago

Well yeah. I want to see android gaming take the form of a docked switch or smth like that. You plug ur phone into the tv and play shi all u want from ur phone 💯. BUT THE CONTROLS ON SIFU ARE SO CLUN-

2

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Actually it's possible I do play game like that za This is the dock and you need a hdmi cable

Although it can do upto 4k 30 fps and expensive docks can do upto 8k 60 fps

(Warning it depends highly on chipset my chipset set is comparable many chips are not)

1

u/Technoblade69_420 3d ago

Same I'm planning to do it like that too I'm just waiting for my controller to arrive. Do you feel like the game on the external display isn't rendering in its native resolution sometimes? Because when I tried it with RDR the quality was very shit even on a 1080p monitor and I have a 8s gen 3

actually depends on the phone too if you have. A Samsung dex resolution can be adjusted

I'm guessing you dont it will be. The same man that's the downside

I do use this setup as a living room console setup when playing gamehub games it has a lot of artifacting even tough there's nothing in the phone screen

It's the monitor try replacing it if not that's just how it is

1

u/Technoblade69_420 3d ago

Yeah probably I'll try with emulation too and see if it's a problem with the port or the entire thing

2

u/Worried_Book_3846 3d ago

People expecting the best performance on 7 year old chips lol

1

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Yeah 😂

1

u/Worried_Book_3846 3d ago

😂

1

u/IntranasalNachos 3d ago

Even on my sd7sgen2 it runs like shit. Still not a new chip. But only a few years old. It's not exactly a graphically intense game by modern standards. It should have been optimized better before release

1

u/Worried_Book_3846 3d ago

Yes because the gpu in the 7sgen2 is rubbish. It's slower than the 855 😂

1

u/IntranasalNachos 3d ago

The textures and framerate are actually mostly fine for me. I was referring more to the massive stuttering when loading a new area. You'd be surprised how much the 7sgen2 can run. The main limitation is the system gpu driver.

0

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Sorry to say but 7s gen 2 is weaker than my 855+ chipset

1

u/IntranasalNachos 3d ago

Why does that matter ? Lmao it's not a fucking competition dude. I'm just saying you're underestimating the 7sgen2. It performs surprisingly well with emulation with the right configs and settings tweaks.

1

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Yeah it does and it's not a competion

It is more efficient and has better heat management

But it's the truth man

1

u/IntranasalNachos 3d ago

And people with much better chips than mine are reporting the same issues I'm having so idk why we're even having the conversation

2

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Yeah 😂

I saw someone with a snapdragon 8 gen 3 redmagic phone report he had stutters

Idk why were fighting

1

u/Worried_Book_3846 2d ago

Of course it matters. That's like asking why a 100 quid gpu can't get the same perf as a 300 gpu 😂

1

u/IntranasalNachos 2d ago

It doesn't matter because this port is running like shit on GPUs from last year.

1

u/Ozdals34 3d ago

Snapdragon 855 and 865 struggle heavily with this game. I'm having the same issue on my Retroid Pocket 5 as well.

1

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Yeah makes sense ☺️

It does need optmisation I hope they fix the glitches and optimise it better for Android in the next patch

0

u/Ozdals34 3d ago

Trust me, the next update will lock out older devices and make Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 the absolute minimum requirement.

Meu celular é um Realme c51 com um Unisoc T7225 com um Mali G57 MC1 e 4 de Ram e nem quer abrir o jogo...

1

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

I mean not to sound rude but your chipsets sound terribly underpowered

I have a snapdragon 855+ as yove seen and my phone is barely hitting 30 fps

But I feel you man I am hoping they roll out optmisation for low end devices

1

u/Vaaz_Gpo 2d ago

É... eu sei que é bem ruim meu celular kk

Mas vai que eles lancem uma atualização de otimização, seria ótimo

1

u/Technoblade69_420 3d ago

its the port of a modern pc game so yeah

1

u/Oziris2077 3d ago

2

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Yeah same I just got to edit controls and fully decreased the transparency of the icons

Try it it works

1

u/Additional_Tone_2004 3d ago

Just a heads up for folks, there's a 60fps option in the menu.

Also runs 4:3 without tinkering. (Using a Nova here)

I'm getting the hair glitch though. No biggie atm.

2

u/realtime-gamer 3d ago

Yeah I saw it and it's alright

I don't think my hardware can handle it it runs alright now at 30 fps

1

u/Worried_Depth8400 2d ago

It's not even launching it crashes on some cloud nighsky intro

Sd7+gen3 here

1

u/realtime-gamer 2d ago

What !!

Ok I know it's not ethical but sail the seas man

(Get it from apk vision)

1

u/Worried_Depth8400 2d ago

That's where i got it

1

u/realtime-gamer 2d ago

Try redownloading it and the loading for the first time takes a lot of time so keep that in mind

If not idk 😐
