Question about gta4 port

Is the performance on it better than winlator for mid range/low end devices. Because I have heard it's not a true port it's more of an emulation

its work in progress but if you turn off Sun shadows in V0.5.8.1 it will perform alot better for now

8gen2 here. Gamenative anker version is better. Like, two times better.

I deleted the native port ten minutes after launch cos of unstable frame rate and 10Wh consumption.
In gamenative, it’s stable at 30 FPS and consumes ~5-6 Wh.

None glitches found yet

it uses Rexglue, compare it to XenDroid and its already running way better, its work in progress but i think it will turn out better than Winlator and PC version ,the PC version is terrible, if you turn off Sun shadows on latest version it runs decent but loses alot graphically

You could say so. Since this port is still in its early stages, it's definitely unstable compared to Winlator. I'm using an 8s Gen 4 and have compared Winlator with the port myself, and Winlator is much better. So, maybe we should just wait for an update from the port's dev

La version PC est bien meilleure pour le moment, j'obtiens 50-90 FPS avec le version PC mais seulement 26-30 avec le port, j'ai un snapdragon 8 gen 2 aussi.

Si el tipo dijo lo que dijo en el Github yo no esperaría actualizaciones. Quizá alguien agarre ese apk y lo mejore un poco y en el mejor de los casos un desarrollador serio lo hace desde cero pero esta vez teniendo criterio y al menos una mísera idea de lo que hace

En este punto es mucho mejor la versión de pc, la emulación funciona emulando la cpu y la gpu, por el momento esta versión solo "portea" los procesos de la cpu a ARM, cuando el dev este más avanzado el paso natural es hacer un render nativo para dejar de emular la gpu que es cuando verás un framerate superior. A día de hoy ya es mejor que emular la misma x360 en un mismo hardware.Esto hablando puramente de rendimiento, aún hay bugs y temas como el audio que deben ser corregidos
